LONDON (AP) — As Michael Jackson once said: Don't stop till you get enough.

Concert promoters on Wednesday more than doubled Jackson's summer run of concerts in London after advance tickets sold out within hours of going on sale.

AEG Live said an advance allotment of half the tickets for the 10 shows in July sold out soon after going on sale. Seventeen concerts have been added into September, and more shows are possible.

If I were him, I'd plan them one at a time. I have serious doubts he'll be able to do an entire show the way his health has been.

Am I right in reading this is now up to 44 dates at O2? Pedophile or not, this is an incredible run at a 20K seat arena.

Won't happen. I'm calling it now. He will bail out on this. He might do 5 - 10 shows and he will then pussy out under some sort of mysterious circumstances and disappear back to Djibouti or Burundi or Bahrain or where ever the heck he moved to.

Now 50 shows. They're spread out to go into 2010 with Feb24 as the last scheduled one. 360,000 presales ticket sold. If he sells out every show, It will be a million tickets.

I wish him luck and will certainly catch his act if he gets my way. We don't know exactly how much harm he has ever done but we certainly know of what he has contributed to the music world and I'll go by that. He was always one of my favorites.

Another postive outlook, huh? No one is ever gonna do anything. Geez. Michael won't play his shows, SP won't make a new album. How do you live your life so freakin negatively? What a downer. :(

Reality is a bitch ain't it!
I would rather think it ain't gonna happen and be surprised, than to think it IS going to happen and be disappointed.

Uh, no. I'm going by his past behavior... Michael is doing this that or the other, followed by Michael has had to cancel this that or the other for "undisclosed reasons".

And yet again you refuse to get through your thick head that the negative outlooks toward you and your whole Perry business, at least from me, have not been because your story isn't believable, they are because of your rotten-ass attitude on this board and your needless repetitive boasting about how much you allegedly know. But whatever.

By saying something that I'm pretty sure about is "boasting"? How the hell should I say it? "Well, I heard something, but I'm too shy to say it", and try and coax someone to beg me? I've never bragged or boasted anything. Only say what I've been told. How is that "boasting"? I guess I could just not say it at all, and if YOU would prefer it that way, I'd understand that, but this is a forum about SP/Journey, you know?

Sorry if you don't like the WAY I say what say, but you don't have to say my attitude is rotten-ass . Hell, I'm one of the FEW here with a POSITVE attitude about new music. To me, rotten-ass attitudes would be ones that constantly doubt everything and go out of their way to attack someone just because that someone claims to know something that they dont, and they're either jealous or just plain old negative.

And P.S. Micheal has never planned something on this level and then cancelled it. Again, negativity sucks. It makes you sound like you almost don't want these things to happen. I'm not saying you don't, just that it comes off that way.

No, he has planned things on a smaller scale and had to cancel. So that would make it seem less likely that he could then pull something of "this magnitutde" off. But I certainly hope he does. I would love to see him sellout every show as I think it would be incredible for ONE artist to sell a million tickets for somehting like this. But will he really retire. Or will he return again the next time he needs money.

I think that is the worst thing about all of this, how the hell could Micheal have screwed up so bad to have the top selling CD and the largest world tours all those years and need the money SO bad. I know much of it was legal cost but COME ON. Was no one looking out for ........ nevermind. I think that answer is obvious.

BJG is right. Michael has had past drug problems and mental problems. I can't see him completing this tour. He could barely make it into the courtroom in his own trial and bother getting dressed. Of course, his huge need for money right now and the right mixture of drugs might get him out on stage.

Not to jock Bruce here, but Mgr Jon Landau spoke about the retirement tour, where Madison Square Garden would be played 20+ times as well as other big cities in the USA and Europe. Giants Stadium for 10 nights, etc. Bruce has already done MSG for 10 night stands and Giants for 6. He alluded to it being the biggest grossing tour ever. Landau spoke of over 15 million people seeing the farewell tour. So, it can be done, and likely will within 5 years or so. The end is near.

Do you really think he can pull that off....here, in the States? Maybe if he priced the tickets for subsequent nights dirt cheap. But I don't see ANY artist/band capable of selling out Madison Square Garden more than 5 nights or any other venue more than 3-4.

Absolutely. Last year he did Giants Stadium 3 nights, 30, 28 and 29 song sets. MSG 10 nighter was 5 years ago. Now, for a farewell Tour, I would think Bruce and Landau would lower tickets. He has enough money to pay off the national Debt for Christs sake, and has always been a star for the people. My hopes were that he would get enough money and buy Ticketmaster and fire Azoff. But yes, easily could Bruce sell MSG for 20 nights, as long as the Rangers and Knicks aren't in the playoffs.:)

Also, of those 30 song sets, those were done all live. i can pretty much guarantee you MJ is not going to be all live and come anywhere near 30 songs. No fucking way.

With all the tech available, all he has to do is dance once in a while, sing a few songs live, the rest he can lip sync. I think he can pull off quite a few of the shows, but no doubt, he won't make it all the way through the tour. But...here' the scary part...his looks are so over the top now, they could have doubles performing most of the shows and the audience would have zero idea it wasn't him.

Bruce and Billy Joel are similar in terms of draw in Mid Atlantic and New England states. If Bruce did mount a farewell tour, between Philly, NYC, and Boston (maybe throw a date or two in Hartford and Nassau Colliseum for good measure), he could easily do 20 - 40 shows. Philly and NYC alone would be nuts, then add in Giants Stadium. I'm not saying Bruce wouldn't do elsewhere, 'cause clearly he will, just not the volume of tickets he'd sell back East.

Look at how many times Billy played the entire Northeast (including Philly) on that initial comeback run a few years back and tell me Bruce couldn't do the same or better in terms of sales.

Deano really isn't off base here.

I have one word for you....Zeppelin. They would sell out as many nights as they wanted to play at MSG or anywhere else. It's moot, though, cause Plant isn't having any of it. Rumor has it that Jackson will have guest artists and Page and Plant are two of them. That is helping to drive ticket sales, not that Jacko can't still draw his own crowd. I wouldn't go just because he's become a creepy parody of himself. As for Bruce, like him or hate him, he has a huge following.
