Well, hey....
You just NEVER KNOW who's reading.....figured it'd be worth a shot to give a last-minute "shout-out"

Babyblue wrote:artist4perry wrote:How did it go? Tragchick?

Can't wait to hear how it went last nite???
Well, thank you very much for asking....but....
you didn't miss much.

Apparently, where we played was more like an oversized "rehearsal room",
which OH BY THE WAY does Live Shows.
So therefore, they DO NOT HAVE TO FOLLOW CT CLUB LAWS REGARDING SMOKING!!
I have not been in that type of smoke-atmosphere since the late 90s....I swear, I felt like I was suffocating and couldn't breathe because of all the smoke.
I was so pre-occupied by that, that my performance was WAY BELOW
my expectations....which are VERY HIGH.
Oh well.....on to the next....

Take it all in stride and monitor how you judge yourself, my dear. If you have the balls to get up on that stage and perform, you are doing what many people either can't do or don't have the talent for or they want to, but are too afraid. You are doing what keeps you happy and sane, so take pitfalls in stride. But I understand what you are stating about yourself with "expectations." In my case
I seek perfection where there isn't any, I am rarely satisfied and my expectations for myself are high. Just do this, and I have to tell myself this everyday...
Just BREATHE, my dear, BREATHE. Well, of course you could not breathe through the damned smoke! But, you get my point. Don't let this one incident put a dent in your groove.
All the best and continued success, my dear. L
Thanks, you guys....
We've decided that if we DO go back there, it'll be when it's warmer outside; so, the doors will be opened.

MBPL, thanks for your Words of Wisdom....I was just in a kind of panic when I realized that there was so much smoke in there, y'know? I mean, I used to be A LOT WORSE re: "perfectionism" - but now, since I'm doing "my own thing" Music-Wise, I can perform & deliver our Songs any damn way I want to....when there's "clean air" to breathe, of course!

Are you going to do more video's????
Not right now.....$$$$ is.....not there.

And will there ever be a cd?
Yes; I'm hoping that our $$ situation will turn around by the Summer. As we speak, we're putting together new Songs for our next CD...we'll be going into the Studio approx. Mid-August....one of our new songs (my favorite) is called
"Balance To Survive" - a funky, Percussion-driven, "Dance" song (and I'm SHOCKED that my Husband allowed one of them into HIS "Prog Rock" group! LOL)
I told him I want the Drumming to be more "Sheila E"- esque.

....To which
he replied: ""
