OT Does anyone have a Reunion.com or Classmates account?

I'm always getting "teaser" emails that "someone is searching for you", etc.

In my case, it's women in my age range (45-60) from places like Summerville, SC; Bullhead, AZ; Louisvillle, KY; Riverside, CA; or Shingle Springs, CA.

My question is...are reunion/classmates.com total scams?

I'm on a limited budget so I refuse to pay $5 a month to find out if they're actually searching for me or just searching my name. My first and last name combo is pretty common in this region of my state.

I get the same emails one says that someone left me a message Im not going to pay the money either so I guess it will remain a mystery.

I get those type of emails from them too.. subscribe to Facebook. I've found people I went to school with 20 years ago and
it doesn't cost a dime.

I wouldn't call it a scam, but I would call it a sham.

when you register on classmates and a pop up $10 gift certificate appears. Make sure you click on the small no thanks. do not accept the certificate or just X it out or it will sign you up for a great fun membership and charge your card $12.99 a month. you will not get a refund either.

although if you do register and you get a message saying you have an email but need to upgrade to gold membership to view it. Chances are dang good it is a real old classmate seeking you out. But I agree with above post, facebook is better for connecting from what I have seen although I do not have a facebook account, it is too real for me. I like playtime and imaginary land instead.

I can quarantee you the someone searching your name is pretty much shidtola. Your better off? depending on gender buying a vibrator or anal beads and jamming those up your oraface. Rather than paying and hoping it was Johnny Quarterback or Suzie Cheerleader seeking you out for a fling and hot hotel sex at midnight on a foggy night in Oregon. :D

Just thinking if it's someone from online who knows my name, the ladies would want to contact me.

I've found out that PM on any site can be very buggie...someone once said they sent me some PM's and they never arrived. Didn't someone here a few days ago bring up the question of PM's.

Heck, my entire computer is very bad. Awhile back I lost everything on my computer...photos, documents, YouTube dowloads, music, financial records, etc. That's why I normally backup and keep in a safe place.

Most things can be replaced; however, that knitting pattern I loved isn't on their forum anymore.

Just use facebook. I can't get classmates to stop spamming me...it was stupid for me to have ever signed up. Facebook is the trick.

I find it hard to believe that Classmates and Reunion are still going strong when Facebook is doing so well for free. But the search features with the others could be worth it. I found a couple people with info and I have never found them anywhere else. But you gotta pay to see it and I won't do that....yet.
