This must be the revamped Planet Us. Sounds kinda Soul SirkUS-ish too. Or maybe a harder version of Van Halen.
They realeased 2 new songs on their website that can actually be linked in your MySpace or Facebook pages if you want to. I like both songs but really like the song "Soap On A Rope." Some badass guitar work on that song, wow. I CANNOT wait for this release.

Can't wait to see them on tour. I'll bet Satch can play all of the Van Halen, Montrose, and Sammy Hagar hits better than Vic (Sammy's guitar player in The Wabos).
Thanks for the update Ken!

Anyone else think Neal is gonna turn positively green with envy when he hears this?
These guys are continuing where PlanetUs left off, while Neal's still stuck in the same county fair nostalgia timeloop.
No matter what success is attained with modern Journey, does anyone truly doubt he'd rather cut loose and tequila it up with Sammy?
As a fan, I think I'd rather see him do that too.

Some good info here too:

Looks like an April release date. I hope that still holds true.
Edit: that link is screwed. Click on the link at the top of that page.

I think you're probably right. I would prefer him to rock out more as well. Really wish Soul SirkUS would have worked out.

Much agreement regarding HSAS...
BTW, any idea where I could find the video of their live performance?

That's what I thought too, very Soul SirkUS sounding. Both songs are great, really like
Down the Drain.

Not really. Journey is touring the world, he's got a fox by his side, he's sober and Journey's future is the brightest it's been in over 20 years. If Neal can pull some strings maybe Chickenfoot can open for Journey in the future and he could be a guest on a few songs.

I don't think Journey music is what Neal's about anymore, and hasn't been for sometime.
Nothing would make him happier than never having to play the opening licks to 'Open Arms' again.
If SoulSirkus would've struck commercial lightning, Neal would've left the county fair grandstand and never looked back.

Neal seems
quite happy in Journey and that is evidenced by the the fact that he's willing to take their music to all ends of the earth. A non-interested person wouldn't travel to China to play in front of 8,000 people.
As far as Soul Sirkus goes I'm not sure I've ever heard a band with such little chemistry and such shitty music. They were absolutely
terrible. Neal loves playing in Journey. Of this I'm
positive.

Holy shit...this stuff sounds amazing....man, it's like ALL the good things about Van Hagar, without the drunk drooling embarassment on guitar.....and a guitarist that fucking kicks ass...

I'll have to listen a bit more. The guitar work is outstanding (I mean fuck, it's Satch...) and hearing Michael Anthony on backing vocals is always a treat. But, neither song really grabbed me too much. But it could definitely grow on me, especially once this hangover wears off.
