TV shows anyone?

Postby Ehwmatt » Mon Mar 23, 2009 12:50 pm

What's everyone like? I stay away from any reality bullshit. Love dramas and "thrillers" I guess...

24
Prison Break
Sopranos
Law and Orders
The Wire (my current addiction)
Entourage
The Shield
Heroes

To name a few... feel free to name some vintage shows, I tend to really like those. Anything from Dragnet to Matlock to MASH to Tales from The Crypt and many others. I'd love to discover a few more...

Used to be very big into TV.

Favorites (in order of when I fell in love with them):

Boy Meets World
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Angel
Firefly
Mutant X
Boston Legal
Shark
House
Heroes
Damages
Lie To Me
Castle

Heroes and House don't do much for me, though, anymore.

I've soured on House myself. Used to love it.

Have you ever seen The Practice? I think you would like that

I agree with Gideon on a few of them:

House
Lie to Me
Shark
and Buffy, back when it was on

A few of them that I differ from him on are:

Bones (when it followed House)
The Fox Sunday Lineup
Robot Chicken

Watched bits of the eighth season with James Spader in it. It was the show that Boston Legal spun off of.

Current favorite is The Mentalist (doesn't hurt that Simon Baker is hot  ). Also love Life On Mars, I was sorry to see in another thread here somewhere that it is being cancelled?

Like the others, have also soured on both House and Heroes (and CSI now that Grisham and Warrick characters are gone).

Fox News is alright whenever Hannity isn't on television.

I've recently got into 24, though.

I've lost my spark with American Idol. I got pissed off when the people voted off Melinda Doolittle and haven't watched since.

House has gotten so lame. No fucking character progression. The only reason I occasionally watch it is because Olivia Wilde reminds me of a really hot girl in my class.

I lost interest this season after they voted off that nut Tatiana. She was a drama queen, but I thought she was a great singer.

I love and miss- Get Smart c 1960's- Dastardly & Mutley cartoons c 1970- F Troop c 1970's- All were really funny. Don Adams with his telephone shoe with agent 99 solved all crimes on get smart. Rod Serling and his Twilight zone was excellent and brought us the Outer Limits and Captain Kirk ! Mash was the best humor and I think c late 1970's .Tempis fugit!!!!

You know, you speak of old television shows and it reminded me that I'm a pretty good fan of MASH.

It was a great show. Alan and Denny, such a great tv pairing.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1srWkJjLLU

Only other show I make a point of NOT missing is 24. Last year or 2 it slipped a little, but this season it's great again. Also kinda cool to see one of my favorite characters on the first few seasons of CSI Miami (Tim Speedle) show up as a character on 24 this year.

Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!
