Looks like Bad Company are getting back together for a tour and the Doobie Bros are along for the trip. Not a bad combo!

Perfect segue- Paul Rodgers is likely out of Queen. There is most likely an opening. Any suggestions? Hmm.

Ah, but who you are thinking of is very determined to succede as a solo artist, so I doubt he'd be joining Queen on a full-time basis. He already is dividing his time to a few other projects that he has been involved with.

That's true too, but he did recently say in an interview when asked.....that Queen is the one band he would join.

Ah, I missed it then. Too many interviews to read and not enough time. :? Believe it or not, it is easier to skim a message board (and mark most of it 'read') than to settle in and read an entire interview here at work.

Jeff has got to be Brian's first choice one would think. And yes Deb(RC), Jeff would drop whatever he is doing to join that band. He is a natural fit. It would be kind of funny to see this happen. Jeff gets shafted by Journey, and the opposition party states he never worked for Journey, and then he goes to a bigger band, and fits like a latex glove.

As good as Arnel is singing Journey tunes, Jeff does an even better job on Queen tunes.

Not trying to start any rumours or anything of the kind, just speculating here, but sure makes a whole lot of sense doesn't it? I know both sides like and respect each other; one side needs a singer, and the singer more than deserves his shot at the big time.

Just makes a lot of sense.

Um... Well, even if you don't intend to share it with anyone else, couldn't you just pick up the phone and put an end to all your speculating???  8)

I, myself, will await any formal announcement before getting all excited about it. However, should it happen, I intend to be all over it.

Whoa wait a minute RC. I was specifically saying I wasn't holding any inside info. That's Madsplash's deal  However, this is a no brainer really. What, you want me to get Soto and mays on a three way and hold a fucking summit meeting? No problem, let me get to that asap.

I don't hear that at all. While he still comes up short, Arnel at least has the same type of voice and can hit most of the notes Perry did. Hell, Arnel sings some songs in a higher key than Perry did. Soto is not remotely as good as Mercury was. Queen needs a big name after having Mercury and Rodgers. Soto would create zero interest and signify the end of that band. No way they hire him. But I am interested to see who he'll get passed over in favor of this time. Brian May is really gonna look like a hypocrite when they don't pick Soto.

It might just be me, but Freddie Mercury got old real quick. People just wear him out on the radio and forums and whatnot. Most of Queen's stuff bores me, I detest Brian May (not a fan of his style), and I think Seal did a better job on "Who Wants To Live Forever."

That said, Queen's finest vocal moment is "The Show Must Go On" and it goes up there with anything anyone's ever done in the history of everything. :D
