Jeep AND Journey missed an opportunity...

....with
"Liberty".

I was driving around on this GORGEOUS 63 degree day, listening to this song cranked with the Sun-roof opened.....this song would make EVERYone a boatload of money, don't you think? Even if they just used Neal's fast Acoustic-Guitar strumming & showed the Jeep Liberty on the Pacific Coast Highway, or something.....
Thoughts?

I like it, whether it would be profitable or not, just the exposure alone would be cool to me.

Don't see it your way Stockard. Nice tune, but hardly commercial. You would have the usual suspects arguing and fighting over use of the song. Perry vs Neal and Friga.
And a preemptive "fuck you" to Dr Gideon. This isn't a bitch, it's an opinion, a very well formed one.

Isn't Liberty the one Augeri sang in the Vh1 studios with Styx or REO in the room? Couldn't find it, but found this from the same session.

My thoughts exactly.
Which "lineup" of Journey was involved at the time of this recording?

I agree, Deano.
The only way Journey would make any form of profit off of it is if the song were one of their well known ones.

I agree, but ~
Do you guys remember
"Harry's Theme" from "Clear & Present Danger"? (Clannad)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NQ_gEnw84nk
Didn't care much for this movie & never heard of Clannad....until this song was used in a Luxury Car commerical.
Loved it; did research, and bought their CD.

Not Daimler anymore, they got out. But the nameplate is a Dodge Journey, which is Chrysler which is GM which could just be the end....

Dave, are you hitting the bong already? As bad as GM is, it ain't no Chrysler. Chrysler used to be one of the "Big Three" but they are being taken over by Fiat(Fix it again Tony), and will likely fail in a year. Two wrong's don't make a right you know.

Yep. Chrysler's basically about to go under for the third, and final, time. First Iacocca and the Feds tried to save them in the 80's, then Daimler, now this Fiat fiasco which will also likely fail. Sad.

Just tired as shit. I could not believe the news about FIAT. My parents owned two of them when I was little. One was good, one was HORRIBLE. I owned a Spider until I shot a 6 foot flame out the exhaust.

Obama has already made it clear, that they won't try to save Chrysler. GM needs to be saved and Ford is up in the air.
You're right steve, Chysler is dogshit.
