Wow, I'm impressed! That's very good. What's the medium pen and ink, pencil? I just love all the little details. As far as my art projects, zero, zip, nada. I have no artistic talent what-so-ever. :(

Youngjrny your drawings are good! Do you like to do Marvel comics? I met the artist who did Captain America last summer. I got him to autograph a drawing for my son.

MG thanks, it helps to get feedback on my work, I am going to send this to the museum curator who is helping me to get started as an artist. Nice to hear what you guys think.

GI. Jim, I post my artwork on photobucket before I add it here. You can go there and learn how to post, or you can go down below the box you post your reply to..............there is a phrase in blue that says " Add image to post" click on there and go to the box that says brouse. Click on the box that says brouse and the pictures in your computer file will pop up. Pick the one you want and click on the box that says "open". Then click on the box below that says Upload it! Give it a few minutes and it will upload your picture. If that doesn't work, ask Rick. I am majorly computer challenged! LOL! Hope the hillbilly instructions don't throw you off!

Peartree it is graphite pencil and a white prismacolor pencil. I work on Stonehenge printmakers paper. :D

Yes that is the one.

At my senior art show, my sculpture professor was looking at my painting, and was quoted to say, "I don't want to be in that artists head." He did not know it was my artwork! LOL! His wife is the museum curator who is trying to advance my art.

I really appreciate the feedback folks, I am always nervous about posting new work to her. She sells artwork all over the world. She seems to like my work........she told me, "Your work is weird, but in a good way!" She says she thinks I can make it big. I am not so sure of myself at times, you know? Thanks for giving me your thoughts guys. I sometimes wonder if anyone likes it except my husband and I. :D

It seems like you got the attitude of not giving yourself credit (which is a good thing, always striving for excellence), or like a HOT swimsuit model who doesn't think anyone looks at her, but turns every head at the beach. Your work is breath taking & in my opinion, deserves to be viewed as fantastic art that people can put up in their homes, and something that a higher power must take a look at, because your too good not to make it big, or wherever you think your work can, and may take you.

Thanks for the line.. I found my comfort zone into taking a "comic" approach to my work, since I am a big Superman fan, and collected the comics since I was little, so my comfort level is that of a comic book style when portraying characters. That's a pretty cool story of you meeting the creator of Captain America and getting your son an autograph. Me myself, I am a fan of DC, but regardless that is a thing I would of loved to experience.

Awwwwwwwwwww............... 8) 8) 8)  Hugs galore my friend! :D You are too kind! And your drawings are good! I love to see other people strive to do artwork. I am a teacher as well. Unfortunately just a sub for now, but I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Art Education, so hopefully by next fall I can be hired to teach somewhere. I love art. Have since childhood.

Thats funny........I was looking for something more about what is going on than any character in the picture.

Maybe something about the Water. All the characters are tied to that. And maybe something about the interaction between the characters. See I am so stumped. :x
The new one I am working on is no where near done and I have a title for it. Most titles come easy. I need one soon for my portfolio.

Sometimes a title is as important as the artwork. HELP! :D

Wow Ginger - your work is incredible, striking, imaginative and unique! You are very talented and I think you will enjoy a lot of success with your work. My mom is an oil painter and has sold some of her work locally, but I am trying to get her to branch out to other galleries. I think she is hesitant because she is self-taught and doesn't have a lot of confidence, but she really loves it and I think that shows.

Do you have a particular brand of graphite or coloured pencils that you use? I've recently started learning how to draw and I've been switching between Derwent and Staedtler Lumograph pencils. So far I also like the Prismacolour pencils for their soft core and blending. My drug of choice is Pepsi and good music too, so I'm already stocked up on that!

Do you have names for the characters or the body of water? That may be a place to start in naming the piece. To me, it looks like it is telling part of a story, like the illustration at the beginning of a chapter in a great book.

Tell your mom that being self taught is nothing to be ashamed of. I have had full training, and trust me, mostly what they teach you are a few techniques and how to use mediums. Get some good books on the subject and you will do fine.

I use Kimberly pencils mostly. Mainly because they are the best we have around here. The really dark black color comes from a relitively new pencil Kimberly has put out. It is called the 9XXb. Order # 525. It gives you a jet black, that has no shine. It makes some things drop back into the picture.

As far as names for the characters I usually have one, but again because this one escapes me I have to think on the names. I was thinking of nameing the root guy, Salizar. So I guess that is the best I can tell you.

What do you think of Salizar's Stream? :D
