Tom Morello is the Guitarist from Rage Against The Machine; has a new band called Street Sweeper.

From March 30th:
http://www.sfweekly.com/2009-04-01/musi ... -sweeper/1
SFWeekly.com wrote:...The album came together over the last year, with Morello writing and producing, Riley in charge of the lyrics, and Moore on beat patrol.

Morello had one secret weapon in the sidelines too. Steve Perry — yes, the very Perry from Journey — did some backing vocals on the album.

"I don't know how it happened," Riley says. "It was like all of a sudden, 'We're going to have Steve Perry come in and do this part,' and I was like, 'All right, cool.'" (For his part, Riley calls Perry a "nice dude.")

20 page topic ahead, minimum, Nora. Well done. 8)

Mp3s should start showing up around page 2 or 3, I think, once everyone dries their panties.
Unless it's not been released... I didn't bother reading the article yet.

Doesn't matter what type of music it is. For some of the loons here, the fact that SP opened his mouth and sound came out is enough to send them into a "gushing" frenzy! :P

It's not our fault. It's that Pavlov thingy...

I went back and read the article, and it says release in the summer... so I guess we chill out about it until then. Interesting find, though, Nora, thanks! :D

Well.... :?

I listened to 3 tracks on their myspace page....

if Steve's involved in ANY of these songs, he's part of a "background gang" - shouting:

"We FIGHT, motherfuckers!!"

The song I'm talking about is called "The Oath"
http://www.myspace.com/streetsweepermusic

At 43 seconds in, it sounds like him screaming & yells "CRANK IT UP!!"; then at 3:40 - there's a group sing-along..."la la la la...."......yup - you can hear him. 8)

Didn't hear Steve on the track "The Oath" Actually the song was not that great. The other two tracks "Fight! Smash! Win!" and "Clap for the Killers" were horrible songs. Geesh and Steve sang some background for this group....
