He does really well on several songs but still no one can sing When a Man Loves a Woman like Mr Perry.

This guy sounds REALLY good, but I'd like to hear him sing this stuff without the massive amounts of reverb. I'd say he'd still sound good, but it's easy to hide certain things with all of the effect.

Agreed. I listened to most of his vid's and he does fantastic much of the time with only an occasional glitch here and there but it looks like he's lipping to tape. I would like to hear him live without effects, too.

Phyllis, if you look at some of the closer-up videos, it's definitely a wig and looks fake. Farther away it's harder to tell.

Good wig. I don't care about the hair and if it's real or not or what he looks like...I posted these because of the singing. Despite the reverb, whoever is singing ( be it the guy in the vids or whoever he's fronting for, if thats the case ) has a really good voice and does very well on the songs.

OK- after 36 seconds- too much reverb, the hair at least looks real(expensive wig?) in the video but can't really hear his real voice still.

Exactly. On the first video, I let it slide, after 3 of them sounding the same, I got annoyed. He really should record with less reverb or none at all.

If it weren't for the wig, perhaps he could have been their replacement instead of Pineda. Hell, for all we know, he could be in reserve.

Fair enough. I would like to know who this is and if this is the guy singing or not. Sounds great in the clips but would have to hear him live to see how good he really is or not. I doubt Neal made a final decision just from youtube quality and didn't decide to hire Arnel for sure until they heard him in person.

Oh..and I would add that this guy doesn't have the range of Perry but he sings well..has a nice tone.

1st off this guy is using shitty tools to remove the lead vox and what is left behind is Perrys reverb. What you are hearing is this guy singing with Perry and not alone. Perry is in the reverb and this guy is using a SHIT load of it on his own voice. Its just hard to tell. There is one that was very good but I cant remember which one. I sent him a pm offering to mix him right if he sent me his raw vox but no reply.
