8 year old girl kidnapped, murdered and dumped in irrigation pond.

She was walking within a tralier park where she lived to a friends house in the same park. They've searched various houses and cordoned off a church as a possible crime scene. Reminds me of a movie called "The Pledge".

Poor kid. Father wasn't in her life, Grandparents and mom could've walked her to wherever she was going but let her go alone.

This hits close to home as Tracy is only about 30 miles away. It was really sad when I had to take down the flyer in my store window. I went shopping today and there are still flyers up everywhere - on lamposts, street corners, business windows etc. Tragic stuff. I hope they catch the guilty party and fry them. Texas has got some things right .

My Daughter is 6...and when she is 8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15 she will not be allowed to anywhere walking alone...too many sick freaks in the world.

When she is 16 she will get a little more freedom because she will be driving...provided I don't put her in a convent prior to that age!!

Here she is in court. Reacts to the charges so she's not insane as I believe Scott Peterson was. I'm sure there's more to this story than we've been told. Possibly someone else involved.

Is it just me, or if her hair were shaved off........wouldn't she look just like Squidward? Very sad story though, and I feel terrible for that girls poor family.

when i was 7 i walked to school and back a mile and a half away.. and back.. and would ride

my bike all over town .. had a house key. ..just like opie,

NOW.. if i drive down the street and see a 7 year old outside or walking with a backpack

i worry about them ..

2 things:
some of the meanest people prey for youngsters now,
and now kids havent been taught the common sense to get out of the rain...

i could be wrong , ive never raised a kid..

I only have sympathy for her daughter. If she committed this crime, she had one hellish upbringing. She was living with her folks and teaching Sunday school at the church. Something's rotten in Denmark.

We had the advantage of being male. I doubt a 7 year old girl could bike ride all over town regularly without being harassed or worse.

yea i know.. i remember the 70's MUCH more innocent than they really were.. still seemed safer..
