For those who complained about the state fairs OR that Journey will not be able to maintain the same audiences alone, keep in mind that Journey played Red Rocks with Def Leppard but it looks like they are playing it again but by themselves this time.

Alpharetta is outside of Atlanta. September 19, perfect weather up there. Though, I liked where they played for two days last year at Chastain Park in Atlanta, but a smaller venue.
Thanx for posting.

Heart will be in Kansas on Sept 19, so the Atlanta show is a negative, Ghostrider.

With the way U2 tickets sold out and Seeing that Def Leppard/Poison and Aerosmith are playing the Verizon in Irvine this summer, I got to believe the economy won't stop people if they really want to see a show.

Hearts got almost 40 StateSide dates on their tour. Economy be damned, those girls are out to make some cash.

I hope Journey has alot of success going on their own with the arena circuit again. I see their playing the new orleans arena 19,000 plus venue, it will be interesting to see how many they will bring in.

Where is RockinDeano? I know he thrives on the success of Journey, so why isn't he here to cheer for this great news?
In other news:
Manila Philippines
As the band Journey steams forward with it's best concert attendance in over a decade, a certain Melodic Rock forum member was rushed to the hospital. An unofficial spokesperson claims he accidentally bit off his own tongue. In December 2007 Journey hired their new front man, Arnel Pineda, after the band's founder, Neal Schon discovered him singing covers of Journey songs, as well as others, such as Led Zeppelin, Survivor, Aerosmith, etc. Schon couldn't believe his ears. He had to go down a couple fiths of Vodka and wreck a couple Harley's, while he let what he'd just heard hit him in the balls. After his release from the hospital and subsequent jailing, he decided to give this d00d a call.
NS: Arnel????
AP: Yes
NS:This is Neal
NS:Neal who?
Neal Schon!!
AP: Riiiiiight
AP: Your funny dude
NS: It really is me, do you know who I am?
AP: Not really, dude, what do you want?
NS: Did you ever hear of Journey?
AP: I think so. Isn't that the band from the 80's who had that fegula, Steve Perry singing for them?
NS: Ok, well forget about all that, it was a bad choice on my part.
AP: So, Neal, you sometimes make bad choices?
NS: Sometimes......
AP: So, why the fuck are you calling me? I can't help you, I have no money, and from what I understand, you have a fucking bunch of kids to support.
NS: I want you to sing for us
AP: You're fucking crazy!
NS: No, really, I want you to sing for Journey.
AP: Why me...you could find plenty of guys that are better than me.
NS: Me and the band have never been to Asia
AP: So.....?
NS: Me and the boyz want to come to Asia
AP: Why?
NS: Too many details for right now, Arnel, but none of us have ever had any Asian pussy
AP: How does this involve me?
NS: Well, you sound like Steve Perry and if you sing for our band, I'd bet women will be all over you.
AP: Ok, I'll bite
AP: So, how does getting you laid benefit me?
NS: I'll sign a contract and when we have new hits, you'll get paid like a motherfucker for the next 10 years!
AP: OK, fine, I'll take the job, but who is gonna take care of this rice patty for the next year?
