OT- Seinfeld Fans

If your a fan of the show and/or Curb Your Enthusiasm, you know that the cast of Seinfeld is reuniting on the upcoming season of Curb. Well, it looks like it'll be more than the just the Big 4. Here's Estelle Harris talking about it.

http://www.tmz.com/videos?autoplay=true ... d3d524da7e

I'm a huge fan of both shows and can't wait. Haven't seen Michael Richards since his incident(which was blown way out of proportion). It'll be good to see the funniest man to ever be on television(IMO) again. What a lack of good comedy on TV these days. The only sitcom I watch now is Two and A Half Men, which I really like. Where have all the great sitcoms gone?
Now it's just reality crap or depressing news.

They definitely don't make em like they used to... All In The Family, Married With Children, Sanford & Son, and Seinfeld just to name a few from the last couple decades were so much better than anything they got on today. 2.5 Men is funny though, I've seen that a couple times.

Yep Its pretty bad when all there is to watch thats funny is reruns of all the old shows 2.5 men is funny, the Bill Engvall show was funny but i would rather watch a rerun of Sienfeld over anthing else on today.

What they should make is a Seinfeld Movie.....I'm sure jerry and co. can write enough neurotic dialogue for 90-120 mins..... :D

ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZzzzzZZZzzzZzzZzzzz.... lame.

The window for that being a good idea passed close to a decade ago. In 1999, sure, maybe? Now... bomb.

I'd be at that movie. Not sure if Michael Richards is employable though, after his tirade at that comedy club.

That was never gonna be a good idea, IMO. I hate when they can't just let things stand.
We don't have to make a movie out of everything.

Well, that doesn't stop hollywood from remaking every old movie imaginable. 'The Day the Earth Stood Still'? C'mon! :?

If hollywood can remake movie from OLD, OLD sitcoms, and such - and have people line up in droves to purchase tickets....I'm sure people would go see a Seinfeld flick....

Ok, I'll give you this... in 15-20 years when it has the nostalgia factor charm as some of the other "old show to movie" formulas, then yeah. But I fail to see how the show about nothing could have a movie about nothing. Would it have a plot? Cause really, wouldn't it just be in essence a 90 minute episode, only you paid $20 to see it?

Nahh... Seinfeld is best left as/is.

I'm going to pop in a Seinfeld DVD....thanks for the idea...

Didn't they basically stop doing the show in an effort to keep it from becoming too old and tired? A movie would be a horrible idea.

Would gross 150 million at the very minimum. The show has grown in syndication.

No. I agree with Rhi. It would make some money, but it would be a letdown. The window has passed. If it was going to happen, it should have been many years ago. To all of us back then they were those people, but they've done too many other characters in shows and Seinfeld is middle-aged, even richer, married with tons of children, living in the Hamptons. It would seem too forced. Leave the brilliance and originality of the show as is and not have some movie for easy cash tarnish that legacy.

the only reason to do ANY kind of Seinfeld thing would be to get that crappy taste of the final episode out of our mouths...worst episode ever....

Have you tried Chuck? A little late now since the finale aired but you can catch up online.

I have tried to watch Seinfeld, but I never once found anything funny with his jokes at all. I can watch a Jim Carrey or Will Ferrell movie and laugh my ass off, but Seinfeld is so dry - I never even cracked a smile. It seemed as boring as watching golf and way too predictable. I just don't get it. Apparently a lot of people feel like I do:

http://www.google.com/search?complete=1 ... 2&aq=f&oq=

But there are a lot more who like him. When I saw him on Larry King he was talking down to Larry and acting like an arrogant spoiled little boy.

I agree it wouldn't "work" and they shouldn't do it (The Curb thing is perfect).....but I just think it would be successful commercially, not a bomb.

I love Redd Foxx, but Sanford and Son isn't 1/100th as creative or groundbreaking as Seinfeld.
Seinfeld started trends in how people spoke and did and episode that was filmed freakin backward.

Fred called Lamont a big dummy and insulted Aunt Esther. As funny as that was, it takes more to be called the greatest show EVER, as TV guide did with Seinfeld.

All in the Family is in Seinfeld's league, Sanford and Son isn't close, IMO.
