Postby Jeremey » Tue May 05, 2009 11:32 pm

Hey all,

Not around here much anymore, but always good to see lots of you out and about when we are on the road.

Just posting because there's always been a ton of people in some of these areas here that have asked about Frontiers dates, so I wanted to share some of these with you....

Dates in the next 2 months in New Orleans, Cleveland, Chicago, Detroit, Houston, Dallas, Richmond, Falls Church (DC), Pittsburgh and Indiana. Check out the full schedule at www.reverbnation.com/journeytributeband

Also, we have tons of new video on a new YouTube channel I invite you to check out....

www.youtube.com/TributeToJourney

Hope you are all well, and look forward to seeing some old online friends on the road this summer!

Nice to hear from you again, Jeremey. I'm gonna bust my butt to come and see the Pittsburgh show. Been wanting to see you guys for a long time.

People can take this anyway they want it(no pun intended), but when I watch those videos, it sounds and feels more like Journey to me than watching the current Journey lineup, IMO. Killer stuff.

Shirley, you can't be serious.

Arnel or not, Neal's guitar playing can't be matched.

Didn't say it was matched, but it's damn good enough and I much prefer Jeremey's vocals. Sounds a lot more like classic Journey.

And don't call me Shirley!

Sorry Jeremey, your thread is gonna go the way it normally does. Jeremey versus flavor of the year.

Neal's guitar playing is the only thing that keeps Journey semi authentic so no tribute band will do that for me.

Even Perry's solo versions of Journey tunes was lacking. That was the magic back in the day.

Perry/Schon with a throw in of Rolie.

Why would you be sorry? These are just opinions among fans, and mine is sure a positive one. I agree about Neal's playing is what keeps Journey SEMI- authentic. Don't agree about the solo band. Lincoln Brewster is a MONSTER.

Scott Pisota from the old Escape NAILS Schon to the point that it was freaky and just as good in its own way as Jason Kelty vocals. He isnt playing with Escape this time around so if Jeremey is ever looking to replace a lead guitar player this is the guy you want. Oh and he does a perfect Rollie as well.

Cya in Cleveland again, Jeremey's guitar player rocks and is a really nice guy, yeah it's not quit the same as Neal but who cares, that ain't the point of this thread.

Hey Dave, sounds great - Looking forward to it...

BTW the new site is on Mac Highway and iLife 09 won't publish automatically to MH as it's not a unix based server or some crap like that! Grrr....Have to publish to a folder still....Would ditch iLife all together if the entire site wasn't based on it.
