Ho hum, more MLB controversy. Someone needs to put that league out of its misery. Baseball is America's pastime because it's the only sport you can be overweight and still be good at.

Do you think SP slipped something into his water bottle, maybe some left over vocal enhancers from his touring days?

Who cares? These players can OD on heroin as far as I am concerned. All they do is run around and throw balls at each other. You could do that shit drunk or high and it would be more entertaining to me. Once you've seen them thrown or hit a ball once, you've seen it a thousand times. Boring! They need to get drunk and high to make it exciting and unpredictable. Otherwise it's the same old shit on a different day.

You're right...let's discuss something that's more topical, entertaining and fresh, like which album was better, Street Talk or Raised on Radio

I'm wondering if he had Neal clamp a pair of vice grips to his balls before he went onstage to be able to hit those super-high notes.

Manny's an idiot..

Baseball needs to impose lifetime bans for 1st offenses... and test WEEKLY... THAT will send a clear message and clean up the sport.

Shit for the money they make I'd OFFER to piss daily... not a problem.

Funny, had this 'pastime' discussion not long ago. Baseball WAS America's pastime way-back-when because there was nothing else to do. Life was simple and guys would take a broom handle & any ball and knock it around on the corner. Is it today's 'pastime'? No, absolutely not. America couldn't care less about overpaid jocks.

If there's any pastime today, it's the internet.

Btw, I think there should be a steriod league. Let them go beat the $hit outta each other and knock it for a mile. Who cares.

later~

I heard someone on the radio say that MLB and their drug association crew knew Manny tested positive way back in the winter and that they have sit back and let him sign a 45 million dollar contract. They let him go to spring training and be a media circus (good 4 baseball) and now announce he has tested positive and is out 50 games. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

HaHa!

(from rotoworld.com)

"The Calgary Vipers of the independent Golden Baseball League are prepared to offer a contract to suspended outfielder Manny Ramirez.

At least someone has a sense of humor about this whole thing. If you've been living under a rock, Ramirez was suspended 50 games for violating Major League Baseball's performance-enhancing drug policy on Thursday. The Golden Baseball League apparently has no such restrictions."
