Heaven and Hell

Any Dio fans out there? I been a fan for many years, and usually end up with most of the music from his cds, use to own them all. Was wondering if any one has heard the whole Heaven and Hell cd. The only 2 Sabbath cds I ever liked were Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules. DID NOT care for Dio's other cd with them Dehumanizer or the other stuff Sabbath did. But always liked Dios solo stuff.
So has any one heard the whole cd? I have listened to song samples off I tunes and Amazon, but have yet to hear it all. Is it worth the money?

Another Dio fanboy, here. I will get it, but I'm a procrastinator by nature. I hear it's pretty good. That said, I'm surprised you don't like any other Sabbath albums. I love most of the Tony Martin albums, but especially Tyr, Cross Purposes and yes, even the last one, Forbidden. There are some KILLER songs on that one. To paraphrase Bill Murray in Caddyshack — it's lean, it's mean, and it's not too far between!!

Tony Martin was fantastic - the actual song Headless Cross is amazing - never get bored off that one. Lots of good stuff happened in that era....................

Martin really took a page out of Dio's Satan-By-Numbers lyric book for that album, too!

I love "Get a Grip" and "Rusty Angels" and the title track from Forbidden. Phenomenal stuff.

Ever hear him sing for Dario Mollo? Not too inspiring, I'm afraid...

So far, this is an excellent album, I`ve played it non stop for 11 days and the playing is immense.

Dio`s vocals are very good considering he`s 67?

Quite an heavy album with stand out tracks for me being.....

Atom And Evil
Bible Black
Double The Pain
Breaking Into Heaven.

Definitely worth buying :)

I've had this album for about a week and it is really, really good. Those of you who haven't picked it up yet, do. You won't be disappointed.

Tony's cds were ok. There were a few songs I did like, but over all I judge them as a let down from the Dio years. NEVER have liked Ozzy, or his singing, but there again there sometimes a song here or there I may have liked from the Ozzy years.

For some reason, Cross Purposes is one of my favorite Sabbath albums--I saw them on that tour with Motorhead opening the show. Dio is still my favorite Sabs vocalist, but I do love Ozzy, Tony Martin, Ian Gillen, Ray Gillan, Glenn Hughes.........I love all eras of Sabbath!!

Huge fan of all the Sabbath era's. Oz, DIO, Gillian, Hughes, Martin, Iommi's solo stuff, all of it. This new album is great and should make Black Sabbath fans proud.

Hola Abitaman!..well here u got another Dio fan  ..still don't have in my hands this new record but i heard the songs, in fact yesterday H & H play here in Santiago, Chile (Southamerica) and was an AWESOME CONCERT WITH A POWERFULL HEAVY DARK SOUND!!..Dio sing better than ever ( lo amo!)..Iommi is fantastic ( i notice his fingers!  ), Butler did correct job, maybe the one who was a little more lazy was Mister Appice in the drums; i really enjoy and love the whole show..this guys still can rock and harder!

They play some songs from the new album (Bible Black, Follow the tears and Fear, i think that live this new song sound pretty well, i like a lot BB)..now i don't remember the exact order of the set list, but they also play Mob Rules,Die Young,Time Machine,Children of the sea, Heaven & Hell, Country girl,Falling off the edge of the world, Neon Nights oh and the intro E5150..(i want it to hear The singn of the southern cross or lady evil...but well..)

I just uploaded a couple vids in YT, i was very close to the stage but i'm a small person so was sooo difficult try to keep the camera focus all the time, besides i was i was already crazy with the set list during that moment..i think that i least the sound is not so terrible...hope you enjoy it :D

For OzSabb (or SabbOz), Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is essential, and Technical Ecstasy & Never Say Die are pretty solid.

DioSabbath is simply the BEST in my book. RJD's voice and Iommi's guitar are tailor-made for each other. Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules are masterpieces.

Initial thoughts on TDYK:

Best songs: "Atom & Evil," "Fear," "Bible Black," "Turn Of The Screw" (my fave for now), "Neverwhere"

Dio sounds great. A 67 y.o. guy singing like that. Wow. Some of the vocal melodies come off samey, and a few songs structurally harken to "Computer God" and "After All (The Dead)" (both from the excellent Dehumanizer album). The drums sound pretty good — I mean how they sound in the mix, not Vinny's playing, which is always consistent if a bit "stock" on this album, but he brings the power required for this type of music. Iommi brings the riffs 'n' chunk; his best solo shows up on "Neverwhere" (the solo on "Atom & Evil" is very cool but too short!). The CD has a lot of bottom end, but Geezer's basslines don't quite stand out the way they usually do, and the gargantuan sound achieved by the drum and guitar tracks see to that ("Turn Of The Screw" is one exception). I'm sure Geez had a healthy amount of compression on his bass, too. That, and he doubles Iommi a lot. I'll get back to listening!

Heyy you did your homework!! very good boy  how much cost this cd there? ( i have to make sure they don't make a rip off here); you know Butler sound very well live..Appice show his age a little bit in the show...i guess studio can be very different of live sound...so after all do u recommend it? any final statement? ...the people want to know!
