Doubt it's true, but I have no doubt this thread will reach double digits!

That does look legitimate. But what will he be performing? Stand-up? Magic?
Joking aside, that's good news. We'll see how he does. And ironic, since he is coming to the place where Journey last performed and the spot where he first identified his hip problems.

Despite selling out multiple shows at the Blaisdell Arena, the one gripe I heard repeatedly when Journey returned to Honolulu earlier this year was, “It’s not the real Journey without Steve Perry.”
That's good news, if true. I have news for the person I am quoting; It's not gonna be the real Journey with Steve Perry either, unless he's planning to bring the rest of the band with him.

LOL
We'll be able to see the YouTubes and find out if the ol recluse still gots it.

The place (and size) seems more the style of the reggae Steve Perry guy.

Lauren, you will get the award, I'm sure, for the most read thread within 24 hours, whether the article is true or not.
Great news. Hope it's true.

Seriously, Perry's first performance in 15 years at some obscure nightclub in Hawaii? Either it's a hoax or it's the wrong Perry. Either way it's bad journalism.

Blaisdell Arena is hardly some obscure night club.
EDIT: Nevermind, I read that wrong. Journey played at Blaisdell.

I believe Blaisdell was where Journey performed. The venue in question for Steve Perry is "Pipeline Cafe"

The show isn't at Blaisdell Arena. It appears to be at Pipeline Cafe. If you want to check out the club, here's the site

Where are all the loons?
It's funny I was just listening to TBF today on the way to work thinking what a shame his voice hasn't been heard live for 14 years and 12 years or so recorded material.

it's barely a month away... hmm, I still have doubts but if it's real, it's about friggin time.
Kind of a strange place for him to be performing... especially since Journey just had a pretty monumental success there.
Wonder who his band is?
"oh my god, madsplash was right. I will leave him everything in my will just because he was right. oh my god, on this day I just feel so unworthy because madsplash was right all along. how could I have ever doubted madsplash? madspash is the messiah. oh my god. praise madsplash's name"
figured I'd better get that outta the way.

Uh-oh, it's in Hawaii. I hope he doesn't do any hiking b/f the gig.

That didn't make sense to me either. Supposedly, his album is done or very close to done so why would he wait clear until next year to put the finishing touches on it?

He won't have to face anyone when he cancels. I still don't think this is real, though. When StevePerry.com launches then I'll believe it.

Maybe Michael Jackson is booking gigs under Perry's name now. I hear he's in Deep Sh*t for the dates he committed to in Europe...

Perry could open for MJ and they could title the tour "The Freak and The Beak."
