Hey, there -

AP's site has been revamped and improved, with many new features added. Just a few hours in, and everyone is completely digging the renovations, including personal pages and a new secured chat box. I think Arnel will be in a bit later to help break it in.

www.arnelpinedarocks.com

Enjoy!

cool Rip, thanks. You have any input on the new design? I like it, simple and easy to navigate.

Okay. Rip, I still have a complaint. I'm glad they listened to some of us and made the home page busier and more inviting and the Journey connection more prominent. Kudos to you guys. But the color scheme is even worse than before. I hate it. Dark orange brownish and the forum still has a lot of gray, which gives a dreary feel. Where's the vibrant colors? Sorry to complain, but you're one of the moderators, so I'm passing my ongoing complaint to you. But definite improvement on the front page and personal pages.

"If you are using grey and brown, make sure one of them is a light colour and one a dark, or perhaps break one of them up with a pattern".

I stole that from some chic site, I have no sense of color myself.

So are they going to shutter the other site Rip?

The software the community page runs on seems very stable, it's like a faster version of the Journey music site.

It was a team effort and we actually delayed it a couple of times until we felt we had it right. Met for several hours and stayed up very late last night going over ideas, and were very pleased with what we came up with. The person who developed the site is awesome, and very skilled with just about anything, from HTML, to Flash, to forum and chat software apps... you name it. The site is really lucky to have them on board.

Hey, Jana -

We actually spent a good amount of time going over colors and backgrounds last night with the goal of brightening it up a bit. (The draft mode colors were much darker). We did try some lighter sunburst colors, but unlike the colors on the previous Flash site, they just ended up just being too bright or didn't work as well with the text, and we all just came back to this as the most comfortable on the eyes. It's a little more earthy, and so far the feedback has been really good.

But please, always send suggestions to the site, because they consider everything.

The other site is completely independent of this one.

Thanks for the feedback! We hired Scotty and Geordi to bypass the trans-flux capacitors directly into the warp core and inject them with hydronized dilithium.
