Wow there are a ton of bands on there! Just one little thing...Twisted Sister is in huge font and bold, but Journey is in little letters!!! Umm Journey was/is 100 times more popular than twisted sister, seems a little weird.

Bands playing girly songs like Open Arms aren't allowed large lettering when playing at European ROCK Festivals.

Wow Journey has two major ballads, so now there not allowed big letters?? I dont think so. They have a ton of rock songs, many more top 40 hits than most bands could ever dream of. I absolutely thinks its just rediculous that our culture thinks that if you sing ballads or love songs, its "cheesy" and you get no respect.

No matter how you look at it, Journey isnt as big as Twisted Sisters in Scandinava and that is a fact.
Its not much about their ballads, but the fact that they never got as big in Sweden as they got in England or other european countries.

It's a European Rock Festival. Guys go there to drink beer and bang chicks. These people don't care how many Top 40 hits Journey had in America. Different parts of the World have different tastes. The group had no more than three hits in Europe and nothing since 1983. Japan and the U.S. have always been their bread and butter.

Look at the Sizes of the venues they are playing by themselves over there. 2,000 seats, 3,000 seats? To break into that market, they need to rock a little harder as Neal said they plan to do on their next release.

That's right Gun..all depends in wich part of the world you live..Twister Sister is a great band and is very admired in Southamerica for example, beside Journey in the flyer is next to Motorhead, DT,Foreigner, Uriah Heep! and is small letters are bands like Candlemass or Marillion :) all they are awesome bands!

I just think is great that Journey still is consider for this kind of shows, where they have the oportunity to be listen for new, younger and more rocker audience.

Yeah, but they still have their lead singer. That's the clincher. A lot of people would consider Journey a tribute band because they have a new singer emulating the old singer.

There are FIVE stages for this festival. The Gibson stage holds 2,000, the Zeppelin stage holds 8,000, the Sweden Stage holds 12,000, the Rock Stage hold 25,000 and the Festival Stage holds 35,000. Journey is playing the Festival Stage for an hour and a half before Dream Theatre and Heaven and Hell.

And I find it hard to fucking believe that Europe is not playing Festival Stage. They're headlining the Rock Stage at almost the same time as Heaven and Hell on the last day. Odd, to say the least. :?

"The arguably most legendary AOR-band of them all got an overwhelming response in 2006, when they returned to Sweden for the first time in almost two decades - at SRF, if you didn't know. Since then a lot has happened with the band: they have changed singers twice, and released their 13th studio album "Revelation" in 2008. The album got a phenomenal reception, and the same goes for new singer Arnel Pineda from the Philippines, whose similarity to classic Journey vocalist Steve Perry has already made him a new audience favorite. So it is a decidedly revitalized Journey that returns to SRF after three years - whether you were there the last time or not, you have equally good reason not to miss them this time around."

Playing 2 bands in front of Heaven and Hell puts Journey in the catbird seat. Heaven and Hell is the overall headliner and that's why they're closing the final day on the biggest stage. People will obviously already be there for them when Journey comes on and this gives them a great opportunity to get some good exposure and play some of their harder tunes.

Just tells me that these guys are extremely desperate for exposure......They should be grateful for that Walmart deal. VERY grateful. After Red13 and Generations they should be damn lucky they haven't been blacklisted by record labels.

I believe Journey is one of those bands that don't need to prove anything, they already win their right to be in this kind of festival (all great bands can have bad records)..i give thanks that they still are creating and making new music!
