OT: Santana in Las Vegas

See, this is what I always envisioned Perry doing some day. No more touring, just camp out at a casino for awhile each year or whenever. Makes perfect sense to me. I don't think that doing year long casino shows is a good thing (I guess it works for Celine Dion.), but I can see doing at least a dozen shows in LV, rather than any touring.

This deal is probably better than putting an album out through Walmart. Neal should give them a call.

I admire the faithfulness of many Perry fans and I hope Perry will do something for them eventually. I agree with you that this will be the best venue for him. It's a good place to start and I think it will be a hit.

Now that would be great. I'd just send my husband off to the casino and I'd go to a SP concert every night! My idea of a perfect vacation.

We'll see if he does anything. He still get's paid so much in Royalties from Sony he doesn't have to work. I'm perfectly content watching him on DVD and listening to the remastered CDs from Sony. I don't need anything else from Perry. Besides, I'm more a fan of Perry with Journey than one without the other.

I think some fans will be happy but not content if Perry will perform as a solo artist. Nothing compares to seeing Perry perform with Journey. But an Arnel loon like me will be heartbroken

I don't think you have to worry about that. A reunion could possibly lead to the biggest payday of their careers but none of them need the money so I dont see it happening.

Well okay, then do it with Journey some day. I don't see why Journey can't do a Perry stint for a few Vegas shows. I mean, why does there have to be only one singer? Why can't there be a studio band and a touring band? Let Schon tour his a$$ off if that's what he wants, but then the classic lineup can do dome isolated dates too.

But even without all that, I think a Vegas residency is the way to go. Everyone always says tour tour tour. If you have a new album, you have to tour. Garbage! Journey doesn't have to do squat. They and/or Perry could do one month a year in Vegas, and all the fans would be just as happy as they are now.
