Journey Reunion with Steve Perry

If Perry agreed for a 1 time only show for a huge charity not to be named at this time
The Venue would be The Pantages Theater in hollywood
How many would pay 1000 per ticket to see this 1 time concert
Money goes to the charity

Seeing how my first ticket to see Journey was around 15 dollars in 1981 (Tattoo You tour, JFK Stadium: Journey, Stones, Foreigner and George Thorogood), even with inflation I could not imagine spending that kind of dough to see Perry for the 5th time.

I think it would sell out though. Just by being in Hollywood and being for Charity, there are enough celebrities and wannabes that would show up for face time on E! TV or who ever would be covering it.

$1000.00 ? I wouldnt pay that much to see anyone ever. If Jimi Hendrix came back to life and charged $1000.00 for a show I still would not pay it !

:?

For $1000 per ticket, I should get to sit on Steve Perry's lap, with my head on his shoulder while he sings "Stay Awhile" to me...if not...well, the loon in me would still consider it. :D

For as much as I want to see Journey with Steve Perry at the helm $1,000 is a bargain. I'd drop that in a heartbeat.

Nope...no way. I stopped going to concerts when they started charging $30.

Hell, no. 1,000 plus airfare and hotel for me. For that, Perry better be singing like at least as good as ROR days (and preferably look and move like that too  ) -- scratch that, sing as good as Escape days and do a 2 1/2 hour show with songs from the first album all the way to TBF and have Rolie onboard for it, but I want Deen still on drums, and have an opening act of Arnel, JSS and SA singing as a trio.

But if they film the concert and sell it for $25 I might buy it. 8)

No way. I might pay $100, but it would have to be a damn good seat.

Ah, a girl after my own heart. You don't want much, just the world - and everything in it.

Jesus fucking Christ. What's the last concert you saw...Mozart?

The real question is: How many people from this forum could actually GET a ticket to a show like that? My guess is not many. That show would be a corporate smorgasbord....The REAL fans would get shut out of a ting like that. Well, not the connected ones, mind you....

What WOULD be awesome, however, is if the wombat could get a show going for MR members ONLY. Now THAT would kick ass.

Well, Mozart's a couple of years older than me. :P

The last concert I went to was the Doobie Brothers...but a guy paid for those tickets.

Journey with Perry? I'd drop $1K easily.

2K if I could photograph the gig! (not a typical photo pass request...)

Perry solo, yup. But leave Journey alone...they are on their own path now.

Yep, me too. I'd pay through the nose (no pun intended  ) to see Still They Ride performed LIVE with all original members again! :D Only two bands on my list that I realllllly wanted to see re-unite (even for one show) and one of them has now!!!!!!

I don't think he could get a thousand dollars a pop with out the band with him, even if it was for Charity.

You would need 2,700 loons to fill the Pantages.

Perry can probably shake that many loons out of the trees and shrubbery around his house.

These karaoke comments get old.
I don't consider JSS, SA or AP karaoke with Journey. They brought their own flavor to the band. Arnel has new music with Journey. People don't have to like one or all of these singers performing old music with Journey, but karaoke -- never mind. Carry on. Karaoke, blah, blah, blah.

Journey playing Journey songs can never be karaoke. Not their fault the original singer for most of the songs can't/won't tour. If Neal hung it up I wouldn't expect Perry to never sing the songs again, just like I don't expect Neal to hang it up because Nostildamus quit on the band and fans. The voice, like the guitar, is an instrument. One that Steve Perry has all but refused to admit was severely damaged.

I'd pay 4 figures to see them once for sure.

If he did that would explain the recent earthquake.
