Just watching some youtube footage of some Phil Collins videos, and am just amazed at how well he sounds live. I own a couple of his live dvd's as well as a couple of Genesis's videos, but it seems that every time I click on Youtube...I see some new recording, or a rare song and he just amazes me! He's one of my favorite songwriters, and just never fails to amaze me. He's also one of the only favorites of mine that I never saw live.
Here's a few of my favorites...
"In The Air Tonight"

Genesis is Great live. I saw them at the Spectrum, with Kansas as the opening act (John Elefante had just come on board, another great vocalist).

Definitely one of my favorite artists, solo or with Genesis. His concerts are amazing.

The Phil Collins Serious Hits Live DVD gives me chills every time... he has an incredible band with him. I've gotta say, I was a bit disappointed with the recent When In Rome DVD from Genesis. I'm sure it was awesome in person, but the DVD comes across as kinda flat

I love Phil. I seen Genesis live at the OSU football stadium for the "I Can't Dance" tour. They were great. I love his voice.

Yeah cute. Now if SocratictoMalone would just knock it off with the Chickenhawk pictures and stick to Phil Collins... that would be great.

Collins' solo stuff is unbearable, but I admit to being a massive Genesis fan, even through the 80's and early 90's stuff that most 'real' fans disown. Also one of the most underrated drummers in rock history.

That early Genesis stuff? Too artsy, too intellectual....
In all seriousness, I can't stand the elitism among rival Genesis fan camps... it's all good stuff. Different, surely, but good.

That's a great question. I'm not sure if he is or not, but I don't see him leaving something that he's so passionate about. I don't think he could quit if he wanted to! His last solo tour was called his "First farewell Tour" if I recall correctly. He definitely has a great sense of humor.

I hope we get more albums from him, as I know he still has a LOT of magic left in him.
