Check out the trailer, It is a Tarantino film...Brad Pitt heads up a group of Jewish Soldiers who are dropped into France disguised as civilians and tasked to kill as many Nazis as possible:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sQhTVz5IjQ

It's about time Tarantino did something that wasn't stupid and boring again!...and say what you want about Brad Pitt. You so want to hate that guy because every girl on Earth wants to bang him, but the truth is he is a GREAT actor who always manages to pick great roles.

That looks like it'll be a brutally graphic movie. I'll need my blankie to watch it.

Looking forward to this flick. Should be entertaining

Pitt's an OK actor, not a great one. He's basically the same person in every film with a little accent changes. Sort of like Cruise.

Great actors lose themselves in the role.

Gary Oldman
Edward Norton (sometimes)
John Hurt
Young Robert DeNiro
Al Pacino
Anthony Hopkins
Sir Alec Guiness
Young Jack Nicholson
Mel Gibson
Chris Cooper

I should add:

Louis Gosset Jr.

This guy is miles ahead of Morgan Freeman (another everyman in all his flicks).

Hilary Swank is my favorite female actor.

Agree on Daniel Day Lewis, Lemmon and RDjr. They should be in my list.
Depp is also good 'cept for the dreadful 2nd and 3rd pirate movies. Ok, I'll add him.

Tom Hanks was good in a few roles (Gump), Big and Streets. Blah in most others.
Can't stand Caine, guy just irks me.

Billy Bob is pretty good if the character's interesting. Slingblade was classic.

He's usually in the background and goes unnoticed but always good in his roles.

Just going to add Johnny Depp too. Was a way underrated actor until his Pirate movies. Some quirky roles, but always loses himself in it. He was great in Blow http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UIFllCH9W4s I think the only movie I haven't liked of his, was Sweeney Todd.........and that had more to do with the movie, than his acting.

Brad's a good actor too, favorite of his is still probably Legends Of The Fall. Anthony Hopkins was great in that too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDCZMJnJe-E

not all girls are into Brad Pitt--I don't get the fascination AT ALL. oh well.

My fav actors are the character actor.

how about Alan Rickman--he can be anyone. he steals the show from everyone--Bruce Willis, Harry Potter, Kevin Costner, Tom Sellach, Kate Winslett.

I think Tom Hanks was also excellent in Philidelphia, Saving Private Ryan & Cast Away.

Gotta add 'The Green Mile' to that list.
I think Hanks is one of the finest actors alive today.

It's hard to top the ones you guys have already mentioned, but here's two more that are slowly earning their place as actors who throw themselves into a role: Ben Foster and Peter Sarsgaard.

I've only seen Sarsgaard in menacing roles and he's damn good in those. Close to being typecast though.

You people kill me.

Instead of talking about the GREAT actor Brad Pitt and the potential for this Tarantino movie, you'd rather discuss who the greatest actors are? :x :x

OK...I'll hijack this mother another way and tell you what happened to me early this morning. At about 5 am my dogs are pestering me to get up and take them for a piss walk. While walking, they got hold of a 25 lb. skunk and tore it to shreds. In the process the leashes got crossed behind me (35 ft. retractables) and I got my feet ripped out from under me landing on my fucking face, then being dragged a few feet and along with my dogs sprayed by the skunk before they chomped it in two. My house, my dogs, and I still smell like skunk-ass-concentrate and thats that. Hell. Every window open. Blood on my couch. Shoulder fucked up from when I landed on it. Hell.

Back it up. What makes Pitt a "great" actor?

Gary Sinise isn't too shabby.

Of mice and men and The Stand were most excellent.

I've never posted a video link on here before so if this doesn't take, I don't know what to tell you except rent "Kinsey." For a straight guy, Sarsgaard sure plays a convincing gay guy. Now THAT'S acting. Talk about throwing yourself into a role.

Solid actor and has picked great roles...Was GREAT in Benjamin Button, True Romance, 12 Monkeys, Kalifornia, Seven, Fight Club, that first Ocean's movie, Assassination of Jesse James (probably his best role) etc.
I think he gets overlooked because people dismiss him as a tabloid coverstory rather than an actor with great instincts.

I expected the movie to be great and it delivered. Typical of Tarantino the best scenes involve people in a room, sitting around a table talking. You just know at some point something very bad is going to happen. This is a must see.

Yep! have to agree here. Not to take away from his other roles, but what i found amazing with Depp was watching all of the bloopers on the various Pirates movies, from Black Pearl straight through to At World's End. Even after screwing up a line (or someone else on set doing so), Depp stayed in character. That's what was truly amazing about him.

One scene in particular comes to mind. The scene where Jack and Beckett are on board the Endeavor, negotiating, after Sau Fang turned him in. At one point, Tom Hollander, the actor that portray's Beckett, cursed (after botching a scene). Depp looks at Hollander, still 100% completely in character as Jack Sparrow....and says "You can't curse in a Disney film, Mate!"

Johnny Depp is a superb actor, one of my favorites.

Heath Ledger would have been one of the greats. Batman, Brokeback Mountain and others he always was magnificant. Watching him in Brokeback Mountain I couldn't believe what a truly brilliant performance he gave. The same with Batman. What a performance. He blew me away he was so good.

Tom Cruise is way underrated. Although, I don't care for his antics re Scientology and thinking he can help and cure everybody of their problems, when I go back and watch his movies I realize how much range he really does have as an actor. Born on the Fourth of July, I saw a few years ago, and he was amazing. Rainman he played someone so narcissistic and self-absorbed to a T. He has quite a few roles I have to admit he was excellent in.

Brad Pitt is a solid actor and I'm looking forward to this movie.

Tom Hanks brings something to a movie every time with the roles he chooses. He will always be one of my favorite actors, even though not a showy actor. Same with Denzel Washington, love him
