New Wikipedia entry on Perry

According to Wikipedia, Steve Perrys new album will be out in December. It says the page was updated on June 1, 2009

The 'Sessions' section in Mix Magazine's January 2009 issue quotes session musician Russ Miller as stating "Right now I'm working on Steve Perry's album."[11]

Steve Perry's new album is set to drop in December 2009.

The part of Perrys album coming out in December 09 is the newest entry.
Thats all there is, and I also know Wiki is not always reliable, but there it is.

Loon away

That Miller quote is old, and once again, ANYONE can get a free account and edit Wikipedia.

This doesn't mean anything.

Wikipedia? 'Preciate the heads-up, but, Wikipedia is so notoriously unreliable that even the most, shall we say, "optimistic" of loons must know to take this sort of thing with a grain of salt. Having said that, I must now scurry away to get limbered up and start surreptitiously practicing the Loon "Happy Dance".

Hey - anything toward the positive I will take....not doing a dance, but just hoping something comes down the pike

I am sad that this is what being a Perry fan has reduced me to.....

"Steve Perry album, titled "We'll see" is going to be released December of 2019."

well it got edited back , so I had to edit it back to my version, plus added this : Late 2008 speculations started about a new Perry Album. A "spokesman" for Perry, Madsplash, mentioned this in the Melodicrock Forum and gave hope to all loons across the nation.

Hope you don't get in trouble (somehow) for definitively saying 'spokesman for Perry'.
You might wanna change that to 'self-appointed internet speculist'.

Aw, come on, it's just having fun.

I mean really, we all know that no one with a brain takes Wikipedia for fact anyway.
I think it's pretty clear that a thing like that isn't serious.

But you know, Wiki allows public editing so... this is what happens and that is why Wiki is not a reliable source, ESPECIALLY when it comes to info on people/celebs. I mean, someone randomly added that stuff about an album in December 2009 and as far as we all know, that is no more true than what Behshad posted.

It doesn't make any sense, again, December is 7 months away and there would be buzz and more info if it were true. There is no new CD and there never will be. He's never going to sing again unless it's in t the shower. And that would be the wet dirty dozen. This is what happens when you tour for 10 months a year for 7 consecutive years singing 2 to 3 hours a night, sometimes 4 shows a week with a tought as shit songlist. What a shame the last 15 years have been for the world and his fans. Not saying that Perry's cape say's superman on it, but you have to take your hat off to the guy because he lasted a hell of a long time doing that really rough and tough vocal stress circus tour. It kills me when some people tell me he's a average singer who's no better than let's say, David Lee Roth, Sammy Hager, Paul Stanley. I don't even give them the time of day cause they have no clue or no idea what it takes to live in Steve Perry's shoes.

I just looked at the Wiki entry and it looks like it has been updated again:

Late 2008 speculations started about a new Perry Album. A 'self-appointed internet speculist' for Perry, Madsplash, mentioned this in the Melodicrock Forum and gave hope to all loons across the nation. One of Perry's former band members, Jon Friga, stated that he had not heard of Perry's new recording. He also said that he was tired of being stalked by SteveW.
