For those truely into scaring themselves senseless..........LOL! I am playing around with my digital recorder and I found this "karaoke" song on youtube to try and sing along to. Trust me folks it was not easy and it sounds scratchy and rough. But if you want a great laugh at my expense. Here I am singing "karaoke". I am still getting over a severe throat infection, so please be a bit gentle. LOL!

That's really good, if that's your voice it's really really nice actuallyvery good.
Alright here is a quick one I just did, I've been singing for 2 weeks straight non stop, and I am getting burned out I reckon... alright, this is not great, it really isn't great, as it's late here, and I am very tired... but I have to put something up since it's a Karaoke thread![]()

I still have a throat infection and it is not my best at all. I will try again once it heals. I bottomed out on some notes. I was just trying to see if I could upload a song for the future. I am still trying to figure out the whole tech stuff.
LOL! Vlad I loves ya! You have the testicular fortitude not to leave a lady twisting in the wind! Thanks! That is an unusual twist on Lights................Thanks for taking a chance, and giving it a shot! Sing again, I love it!

Vlad, I know how hard it is to sing with a Karaoke program..........timing is harder than singing on your own. I am glad you did not leave me to be the only one to try it..........now where is Proggy to sing a tune for us when he is needed?![]()
indigo wrote:Artist4perry, I enjoyed that. Now you have two songs under your belt for your upcoming cd. We will have to come up with a title for it.

JasonD wrote:So glad you posted this thread, artist4perry. I was thinking of posting a Karaoke thread myself but I figured someone would chime in with, "KARAOKE!?!? That's SO 1990's!!!" Maybe, but I like Karaoke. It's a great way to losen up with your friends, throw back a few drinks, forget the stresses of the work week & just have a little fun.
Problem is, I need some fresh, new-to-me material. Do you guys know of any Karaoke websites or have any suggestions for some good Karaoke songs, ones that are not TOO high in range? I have a decent voice-----not Perrytastic, but decent----so please don't suggest "Faithfully" because those high notes at the end 'bout give me a stroke. In fact, anything Journey 'bout gives me a stroke. I can do "When You Love A Woman" pretty good because the notes stay pretty much all on one level playing field, but, for the most part, I stay away from Journey songs altogether because they just don't fit my voice. Right now I sing:
Under The Bridge==Red Hot Chili Peppers
Hemorrhage==Fuel
And almost anything by U2. (I got a Bono kind of voice.)
What else is there or where's a good place to look? Thanks.

How about Lemon by U2. Love that song. You could perform it as his alter ego, Macphisto.I love that performance in Sydney in '93. One also would be great.
Vertigo. Also, what about Head Over Heels Tears for Fears or Working Hour?
SusieP wrote:Second one..............you sound very 'polite' and that kind of stuff shouldn't be sung politely, so I want you to really let down your hair and LET RIP!
Do it when no one else is in the house and really let go.
Isn't singing great!!!??
Pretend you are Ann Wilson or Pat Benatar and go for it!!!!
You are on pitch, you have a good tone.
Now get rockin!!!!
