I guess. If you want to go there, sorry I don't know of a better way to add it to the site. Remember me technologically challenged. Just hit save then hit open. Then delete the puppy later. Rick might be able to tell me how to do this better. Stupid computers............

That's really good, if that's your voice it's really really nice actually

very good.
Alright here is a quick one I just did, I've been singing for 2 weeks straight non stop, and I am getting burned out I reckon... alright, this is not great, it really isn't great, as it's late here, and I am very tired... but I have to put something up since it's a Karaoke thread

Yes, Vlad, unfortunately that was me singing.

I still have a throat infection and it is not my best at all. I will try again once it heals. I bottomed out on some notes. I was just trying to see if I could upload a song for the future. I am still trying to figure out the whole tech stuff.
LOL! Vlad I loves ya! You have the testicular fortitude not to leave a lady twisting in the wind! Thanks! That is an unusual twist on Lights................Thanks for taking a chance, and giving it a shot! Sing again, I love it!

Awesome

yeah thank you, no worries. Yeah I wouldn't be singing if I had a throat infection, well nothing too strenuous anyway. But yeah that's great, let that throat heel hey
Oh that song I did, wasn't anything thought out or planned, in fact I never practiced that song, I just did it not knowing how to sing it... and reading it from the Karaoke program, some of the words didn't appear, or came later, I don't know, if I had a proper Macbook it would be much easier not to lose the vocals in the mix, it's very unfortunate using a PC to record the voice. Plus singing Journey, it's not easy, it's probably just out of my range, as I am still working on my voice, and where I want to go with it.

Thank you Carla, I thought people would be throwing things at me for making them suffer through listening to it! LOL!
I will try to sing Superstar once I get better . Dan says I sing Olivia Newton John's music better. I am a higher soprano, not an alto like Karren Carpenter.
Vlad, I know how hard it is to sing with a Karaoke program..........timing is harder than singing on your own. I am glad you did not leave me to be the only one to try it..........now where is Proggy to sing a tune for us when he is needed?

Man you guys sound fine. I however cant sing shit now. Fucking alergies. I sound like Neil Young lately. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
Really though, I can hit super high notes with ease. The last note in Something to Hide, check, the high part in Sweet and Simple, check. BUT.... I can sing Hopelessly In Love better than I could sing Melody to give a good example. My mid to upper mid range is fried, broken up and raspy so I have all my low end and the best high end I have ever had and now my mid range is borked !! I can sing like a fucking mouse or like a bass singer right now and thats about it.....
I want to do some new tracks but the damn cords wont deliver and I really dont take it seriously enough to go to an ENT since I just sing for fun at the moment. If anyone needs someone to sing really high or really low I am your man.. Really frustrating.

Artist4perry, I enjoyed that. Now you have two songs under your belt for your upcoming cd. We will have to come up with a title for it.

So not only are you an amazing artist, but you also have amazing pitch! That was very good for a rough karaoke recording, and also very cool. Thanks for sharing that with us! Now how about showing us some more artwork?

The lighting is horrible, I will take a better photo tomorrow.
GI thanks.........Dan said it was not my best singing. My throat infection has not healed and that hurt more than you will ever know. My notes were hollow at best. But now I know how to put this stuff on I can do better in the future. And yes the recording sucked........I don't have the equipment you guys have! But I hope some of you got a good laugh at my expense. Hung move over! LOL!

So glad you posted this thread, artist4perry. I was thinking of posting a Karaoke thread myself but I figured someone would chime in with, "KARAOKE!?!? That's SO 1990's!!!" Maybe, but I like Karaoke. It's a great way to losen up with your friends, throw back a few drinks, forget the stresses of the work week & just have a little fun.
Problem is, I need some fresh, new-to-me material. Do you guys know of any Karaoke websites or have any suggestions for some good Karaoke songs, ones that are not TOO high in range? I have a decent voice-----not Perrytastic, but decent----so please don't suggest "Faithfully" because those high notes at the end 'bout give me a stroke. In fact, anything Journey 'bout gives me a stroke. I can do "When You Love A Woman" pretty good because the notes stay pretty much all on one level playing field, but, for the most part, I stay away from Journey songs altogether because they just don't fit my voice. Right now I sing:
Under The Bridge==Red Hot Chili Peppers
Hemorrhage==Fuel
And almost anything by U2. (I got a Bono kind of voice.)
What else is there or where's a good place to look? Thanks.

How about Lemon by U2. Love that song. You could perform it as his alter ego, Macphisto.

I love that performance in Sydney in '93. One also would be great.
Vertigo. Also, what about Head Over Heels Tears for Fears or Working Hour?

Did you see the Lemon performance where the guys could not get out of the "giant Lemon" because it jammed? Laughed out loud over that one, of course they eventually got out, but this is the fun of electric devices.

Just listening to your Carpenters one................nothing wrong with that!
You sound like you are witholding a bit and concentrating very hard on pronouncing the lyrics clearly and maybe tensing up because you are nervous, relax woman....open up the back of your throat and just go for it naturally.
Your lower notes are fine too, so quit beating yourself up.
NOBODY can compete with Karen Carpenter's voice, that woman had something really special.
And on CD's her voice had some reverb on it which always makes a voice sound better, remember yours on this recording is raw with no effects.
Very creditable I think.
Now loosen up, and keep at it.

Second one..............you sound very 'polite' and that kind of stuff shouldn't be sung politely, so I want you to really let down your hair and LET RIP!
Do it when no one else is in the house and really let go.
Isn't singing great!!!??
Pretend you are Ann Wilson or Pat Benatar and go for it!!!!
You are on pitch, you have a good tone.
Now get rockin!!!!

Hugs for all the advice, Dan says I hold back, when I am relaxed he tells me I sing great. But I think that is why I got the recorder, to listen objectively, and learn to not let recording devices intimidate me. My throat is still pretty raw, and I have to wait for healing.
Susie, you have a lovely voice. I envy Altos. I have more of a soft high soprano sound, Dan says more like Olivia Newton John. Maybe I will take some lessons in the future. I just love to sing for the heck of it!
Funny thing is when I am sick I have no problem still hitting the high notes!
Thanks for your input!
