OT: When A Soldier Comes Home

When a soldier comes home, he finds it hard....
Image

..to listen to his son whine about being bored.
Image

....to keep a straight face when people complain about potholes.
Image

to be tolerant of people who complain about the hassle of getting ready for work. Image

...to be understanding when a co-worker complains about a bad night's sleep.
Image

..to be silent when people pray to God for a new car.
Image

...to control his panic when his wife tells him he needs to drive slower. Image

..to be compassionate when a businessman expresses a fear of flying.
Image

....to keep from laughing when anxious parents say they're afraid to send their kids off to summer camp.
Image

....to keep from ridiculing someone who complains about hot weather.
Image

....to control his frustration when a colleague gripes about his coffee being cold. Image

....to remain calm when his daughter complains about having to walk the dog.
Image

.....to be civil to people who complain about their jobs.
Image

....to just walk away when someone says they only get two weeks of vacation a year. Image

...to be forgiving when someone says how hard it is to have a new baby in the house. Image

The only thing harder than being a Soldier..
Image
Is loving one.

A gentle reminder to
Keep your life in perspective.

And when you meet one of our
returning Soldiers,
please remember what they've been through
and show them
compassion and tolerance.

You're welcome, guys.... 8)

It was in my email last night; it came with a request to "pass it along".....so I did - I wanted maximum visibility on this.

But if any of you-all want to copy & paste it & send it via YOUR emails, go right ahead. :D
