I heard something that sounded vaguely familiar over the muzak system. It took me a second because it was so out of place there, but I realized it was "Where Did I Lose Your Love". I turned to my wife and said "that's from the new Journey album with Arnel".
It's not a radio station they play and of course they don't announce what songs they're playing or who the artist is, but still it's nice to hear some new Journey somewhere, anywhere in public.
Anyone else heard anything off 'Revelation' anywhere?

I heard it last week when I was at a restaurant in Kansas City. I was kinda shocked, actually.

If that had been my wife, she would have been like this.
I think I've burned her out on Journey.
I heard After All These Years at the car rental counter at DFW airport.

SMFP's "still got Escape cash layin' around" if I may use a line from an REO song parodied here on MR. SMFP will be alright.

She's all Country and Elvis. Hopeless.

She's a great woman otherwise though.

The other day I was in the supermarket and a woman had 3 of those re-usable nylon bags. So instead of striking up a conversation about how they collect horrible amounts of bacteria, while she was loading the last of her bags into her cart. I said to the lady working the register, "Double bag mine please!"
Nylon bag lady was pissed!

Maybe it was fate, but tonight I was at a Hold 'em tourney and the host just so happened to work for Muzak. I asked him about Journey and his reply was simply "that's not us".
Does anyone know who determines who gets on these in store playlists? Do the bands make some sort of deal?

When did noticing what groups are playing on musak systems become the norm. What's next, elevater playlists? Your shit needs to be on the radio to be taken seriously, not musak. Old, nonselling stuff like ROR and Street Talk, that's what is supposed to be on musak systems (and is).
