One of my all time favorite Journey songs.

Very cool! Thanks for sharing, haven't heard that version - the sound quality seems to be on par with another show I have 'Diamond Night'. They usually did the intro with drums. Neal hits a bad note during the solo, but Perry's performance is great. How's the rest of the show?

I was on the road all last week going to another county for work each day, and I listened to this CD. But I must have listened to this particular song, one of my favorites, 15 times, over and over.

I just gave Stay Awhile another listen. That might just be my favorite live Perry performance from that particular era. Just...WOW.

Yep, doesn't get much better than that. I've played that track once for a friend of mine who also shares a heavy passion for classic R&B/Soul vocals. He was never really into Journey or any early 80's rock, so he never understood my liking them along with Cooke, Redding, Smokey, etc. He's a HUGE Seal fan, so when he heard this, he said "Now I get why you like Journey. It's all about Perry!" He still doesn't care much for 80's rock, but he has total respect for Perry as a singer. Mission accomplished.
