I thought this much was already understood. Was there really anyone who was unclear on the matter? :? :? :?

Anywho...following the links, it appears Lambert will be releasing his new CD this fall...imagine that. Contest ends in the spring...CD out in the fall (even with a weak @ss Idol tour thrown in the middle). :? It has further been reported AL has already signed a record deal with RCA records. 8)

Oh yeah, and cover of Rolling Stone magazine? 8) Nice!

Isn't his 15 minutes just about up?

And just where are the days when a band/singer had to actually grind it out in a club, and EARN the right to play music in front of people? Enough of of this readymade, disposable music.....you can thank Maurice Starr and Lou Pearlamn for this no-talent crap that has permeated the airwaves.....

Oh, lighten up S2M.
The guy's obviously been "grinding it out" for a number of years to get as good as he is (and I know you don't think that's very good). Relax, time will tell. In the mean time, prepare yourself for a whole lot more guy-liner, screeching, and lolling tongues.

Well, as the ORIGINAL Lambert-hater here...as i was the foist to complain about the tongue thing....Which I'm sure some here find somewwhat erotic...

His appeal is more in line with the shock value moreso than his actual talent(which the jury is still out on, btw)....I'm sure he will find a marketable niche in which to sell his CDs...but it will be a very small group - he'll burn out faster than Whitney houston at a crack convention.

And his 'coronation song', No Boundaries is shaking up the music world at position 72 on the US charts....a song, mind you, that it seems Kara wrote especially for Al's vocal 'talents'.....Yep, America is lapping up anything AL...

It was called "Bite Me, Travis" and it went to #1.

I'll happily rephrase. It was crap that I enjoyed as a young'un.
Although, if I wanted to call it mine, I could - between '89 and '91, I bet I funded half of it.

Take it easy Mr. Curmudgeon  ...you have to admit, that was a pretty crappy song - whether it was written "especially for AL's 'vocal talents'" or not. Give the guy some time. Let him work out his sound and get some things straightened out. It's far too early to declare AL "Over".

You're a little young to be a curmudgeon, but, geesh you're grumpy.

15 mins! Hah ! He will be around for yrs. I hope he does not get too strange on his 1st album because I think most fans were into his style of handling any difficult 70-80's songs. After that Queen will pay him a ton and allow him to work on his own material. I would be shocked if they ever did anything but Queen with Adam Lambert. As far as gay, I never cared about Elton or Freddie ,back in the 70's, so certainly not Adam.
