A word from Neal Schons Blog From the road -

Just a little up date. I believe we have done extremely well out here this far . Every show we have played the crowds have been undeniably with us 100%.... And luckily for us the reviews have also been Very favorably and on our side..........
We played to a Very enthused audience last night in Paris. Man was it hot !!!! we were soaked 3 song in , thought I was seriously going to pass out.. don't know how in the hell Arnel sang or for that matter Deen singing And playing. There was a real lack of oxygen and so,so, hot...
The crowd was awesome and know tonight will be off the hook as well in Holland. Once again I thank you all for your support. We are doing our best to kick it hard out here... what else do we know !!! Ha! Ha!

Affectionately,
Neal

Agree 100%, say what you want about Neal, but he keeps on Rockin and giving the fans what they want. Well, me anyway! :)

He never ever lets the fans down on stage - i think he could dazzle a crowd even if he was playing well within his capabilities, such is his talent. I still think tho, that he soared on stuff he didnt care for - like the solo on Suzanne for example - i never get tired of that. It might be technically simple - but he came up with it and it still gets my gander up. The man is a fucking genius of the guitar.

Yeah, you have to admire that passion in him at this age how much he still loves performing and playing. He's a warrior, that's for sure. What amazes me is that at 60 Jon still wants to go out on the road every year. I doubt he has to. People never really give him his due as far as putting himself out there year after year.

I don't think Jon is bored, he's just focused. In interviews he seems to normally be pretty happy.

At 60 you have things to concern yourself with that you didn't need to worry about at 40. u don't want to pee yourself on stage. 8)

Jon at 60 looks younger than most 45-year-old men. I agree he's not bored. Just very intense. Plus when he moves from guitar to piano maybe being really focused. I think even if he never had to work again he would miss the road and want to go out sometimes. It's in his blood, too, after all these years. But definitely Neal could never give up performing. I believe him when he says he wants to be like B.B. King with his career and play until he can't anymore.

I think Ross looks ok. He may have lost a little weight, but other than that he seems to be the same old Ross he's been for the last 30+ years.

I think Ross has maybe changed his hairstyle and added a mustache or goatee or something--he's just got some turkey neck going otherwise he looked really great in that red tie-dyed t-shirt (I think that's what is was). I saw Jon smile in a couple of Marty pictures so looks to me like he stays really focused. Neal's blogs are really something; I don't know if any other guy writes notes to his fans and ends it "affectionately." Very, very sweet. They played in that hot venue for 2 1/2 hours; sitting down in that freakin' concrete bowl at the Verizon last July was hot, too--I can see why he felt kind of faint. Take care of yourself Neal--getting hot like that was awful. Drink lots of water.
