Ok.....someone brought up WHAM! so I had to make up a topic about their first, and BEST CD, 'Fantastic'. Perhaps a bit 'light' for you testosterone terrors, but I happen to like it.

I just loaded this onto my work computer today.

GM said this album was more about him and Andrew annoying people and acting stupid. They were trying to be pop anarchists, Sex Pistols Lite.

Ray of sunshine and Love machine are great.
Nothing looks the same in the light definitely sounds like a precurser to Careless Whisper.

I've got the Japanese import with the extended mixes, classic.

That was O.K. But love machine to me was best sung by the original group The miracles seems the youtube version of the original song was pulled. :(

These 'live' versions do not do the studio tracks justice.....

I saw George live on the Faith tour in Japan and will say without hesitation, as a pure singer he is/was on par with, if not greater than Perry.

I believe seven of his ten #1 hits, he wrote himself, the guy is mega talented.

That was a great album. I remember when they debuted on American Bandstand singing "Young Guns"

You can console yourself with the thought that in the end, he is on the right side of the fence.

A bit light??

It's lighter than a room full of Clay Aiken fans drooling over Richard Simmons work out tapes.

Wham posts on my message board. What ever has gone wrong?

I may be labeled a loon but I have to call it as I see it. Having seen Perry on the Escape tour, I think I can say that was Perry at his best so I have a good benchmark to go by.

For the record I have never like George's music. His talent as a singer cant be denied.

Interesting cover of the Beatles long and winding road.

This thread is gayer than 8 guys blowing 9 guys...with an extra dick left over to go in the ear...hahaha J/K

I do recall my disco Dad playing Wham Live in China Laserdisc on his stereo and big screen tv at the time - the live version there was pretty good.

There's definitely some talent here, but I never needed a visual when it came to Wham

say what you want about Wham, but George Michael's a decent vocalist. I still think his performance at Freddie Mercury's tribute was THE high point.

GM sang that so beautifully. Love that version as a tribute to Linda McCartney.
