Andrew,

It seemed to be all in good fun. No argument, no bashing. Just making fun of Perry with the tools he has given us. Hell, he would probably laugh at it. Just curious why you locked it ?

Listen, letting everyone in a little secret, I'm not a HUGE perry fan but if you look at the thread up top AJM is enforcing his rule equitably; not that he should have to answer as this forum's a privelage he affords us not a democracy.

I thought it was disrespectful and unnecessary, and I appreciate Andrew locking it and monitoring this forum
more diligently these days. It was Perry bashing which I know some people delight in, but I don't think Perry
deserves such disrespect after he has given so much of himself to us. :(

And by the way, he hasn't given us anything worth while in years!! I know , re masters Etc..... who cares!

Can I have your remasters then? I'll give you disc two of Revelation as a backup in case you scratch your original copy.
PM me, maybe we can work something out.

It was kind our own little roast for Steve. I think I speak for everyone that comment in the thread that they would drop what ever they were doing and run, not walk to the store to buy a new cd or to go to a live show. We all love the mans singing and talent despite that many quirks he seems to have about singing again and whatever... I didnt want to keep it going, I was only curious why people would take it personal as if the comments made were about someone wife or husband. None of us know him personally so why would there be a need to defend him. If you didnt like the jokes (and remember that they were jokes) then you only had to move to another thread....

Just curious. I thought it was funny and saw nothing disrespectful about it.

No thanks, I like my re masters, but would rather have something new. And I don't mean back ups on some obscure album. But I will take the Revelation stuff, kind of worn mine out.

But Arnel can "give so much of himself to us" NOW and it's okay to bash him? Glad I have the rules.

NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

I pretty much have the same perspective as any Journey fan when it comes to the music. I blast those CDs in my car just like you guys do and I am very thankful to have the songs I love sounding so great.

When was the last time someone said they hope Arnel fails? When was the last time Arnel was called a douchebag?
Be fair dude, Arnel bashing is pretty much in the past. If you're talking about Neal and Jon, that's one thing, but, with the exception of a few posters, Arnel has been off limits for some time now in this forum.

Just to clarify, this has nothing to do with the thread we are talking about, I thought like others it wasn't over the line and was all in good fun.

:?

I didn't see anything particularly disrespectful about the thread. There was nothing there that hadn't already been said in one of the many "Caption This Pic" threads. For heaven's sake, the man's not made of glass...and I say this as a Loon who has the utmost respect and reverence for SMFP (we can still call him that, right?)....just sayin'.
