Arnel was freakin' amazing on there. And to be so lucky to have such great quality video and sound on this and great close-ups of all band members and the audience participation and then to lose Jon's piano and such in the mix, it's just too bad. Still just great, though.

Please don't. I couldn't handle another one. Seriously, Rick, I thought it was horrible. I have been trying to give it a chance, I used to not even be able to listen to their stuff. Arnel's got a great voice, but it just didn't work for me. Ross (who I LOVE) looks like crap, and the whole song just seemed off to me.

To those who say Arnel doesn't sound like SP, I'm starting to agree. The music is losing the SP'esque sound, and that's not a good thing. All I know is, match days between Cardiff and Swansea, all you'll see down St Mary Street is drunk Swansea blokes pissing in public and drunk Valleys girls stumbling about in various states of undress. When I worked as a steward for the Millenium Stadium, we used to keep a box of cheap t-shirts in the stewards' room for those match days to give to the girls who'd lost their tops in the stands somewhere. Usually two or three per match.

Sux that the Piano is missing in the mix, but these are f-in kick-ass performances. Arnel real nails it and seems much more aggressive and confident. I like it.

The fact that there's no Piano in the mix really exposes any flaws in the singing and guitar playing and well, there aren't any.

hmm... after closely listening to DSB at DL, I'm starting to think that what we're witnessing is a total meltdown of Jon's hardware. I think what we're hearing is the pre-recorded backing tracks and none of the live piano playing. Because at times you can clearly hear the synth parts, but pretty much ZERO piano. hmm....
