Okay, I've never been much of a heavy metal fan, but I've got to say, the stuff on VH1 from Iron Maiden's recent tour and documentary is amazing. Those guys are incredible performers, and funny and smart too. I think I've become a fan.

Does Bruce fly the band Jet? I know he's got an Airbus license for the bigger planes.

They play the Forum when they come to L.A. No one talks about them much but they always sell out when they come to town.

I seem to have come out of a coma, suddenly I am all into bands I would never have been before. Saw the Documentary, brilliant, talented men, lead singer still has singing skills AND flies a f**king plane? I was BLOWN away! Another "new fan" here indeed!!!!

I love the story of Bruce flying a big ass plane into Lebanon to bring home his fellow countrymen when Israel started bombing the place. How many big time entertainers are going to make the effort to do that?

Oh, and he's also an author and world class fencer.

All that, but he's not "THE Bruce Dickenson" (aka Christopher Walken)...that character was based on a different Bruce Dickenson.

Here I am with Bruce a few years back at an after show party in New York City. :) Check out the shirt.

Even if you're not a Bruce fan, this is fucking funny. The John Bonham, Peter Frampton story had me rolling.

Didn't he used to fly a regular commercial route for British Airways?
Btw, Journey producer Kevin Shirley did the Iron Maiden stuff.
The man is good, really good.

Maiden's latest album, A Matter of Life and Death, is their best since 7th Son Of A 7th Son! Bruce, Adrian and everybody are in fine form.

I don't see why they need Janick, as Adrian & Dave (along with Steve & Nicko, of course) are the shiznit.

Of course, right about now is when somebody will probably tell me "Dude! Janick wrote 90% of AMoLaD!!!"

At which point I'll just quote Stifler...

Well, polish my balls and serve me a milkshake!!!

I'm not a big fan of the 666 thing for obvious reasons.

A truely great record. More progressive sounding but still has that signature Maiden sound. Greatly looking forward to their next release. 8)
