i got a question.since after the depression in the 1930's.i'll go ahead and say since 1940 has the economy ever been as bad or bleak as things are right now? i've heard stories about the late 70's,early 80's being tough but i was wondering.

I have heard it reported that this is an econmy at it's worst since the depression. The 70's had a bad energy crisis which certainly strained the economy. The 80's were a revival, they were the "ME" generation where everyone stopped focussing on everyone else and only cared about "me". The era of excess and the era of making money without really doing anything. In a way we are finally experiencing the crash that the 80's set-up. (IMO)

You forgot one.....many of the Mexican's are going back to Mexico and many of the people from India are going back to India because there isn't anymore work here in the U.S. So much of American business has been outsourced to those two countries anyways. This is fact!
