Journey to the Cure Gala, Steve Augeri and Journey

Want to plan an awesome getaway to beautiful prairieland Illinois?
Come enjoy the 2nd Annual Sparkle Tie Gala for a worthy cause.

Journey to the Cure is holding its 2nd Annual Sparkle Tie Ball on Saturday, August 15 at the Meadows Club in Rolling Meadows Illinois. Entertainment includes Steve Augeri, Nick Lynch (American Idol contestant) and Gen Hex (classic rock cover band from Chicago). It includes a silent auction, open bar and sit down gourmet dinner & dessert. Last year, Steve sang several songs as an acoustic set and then rocked out on some Journey songs with the house band (last year it was Kevin Chalfant's band) and then sang some duets with Kevin. He then stuck around and chatted, signed stuff and took pictures with any gala attendee that wanted to talk with him. It was an absolute blast.

ALSO, Journey will be playing in Indianapolis the next evening, Sunday, August 16 (Indy is about 4 hours southeast from our venue) and then they play in Rockford, Illinois on Tuesday, August 18 (Rockford is 1 hour north of our venue). Come make a long, fun roadtrip of it!

Ticket and registration information is located at www.journeytothecure.com under Events! Any questions, email me at val@journeytothecure.com

THANK YOU!!!

Thanks for sayng that Rick. I wanted to say the same thing but my shyness got the better of me.
Texas women are hot, and not just because it's 90 degrees at 1 o'clock in the morning either.

What is it with the freakin' shoes, already???  I've had more discussions revolving around shoes over the last week than I care to admit! Saturday night alone was at least a half dozen separate discussions and one of these people is the biggest shoe-lovin' offender! :::snicker:::

Debbie
Who's seems to be suffering from a bit of shoe envy, I suppose...

Ha, ha! Actually the offender that I speak of above IS a guy! I have been told that he has more shoes than his wife.

Would love to go, but I have to put it off again this year. :( Besides, it gives me at least another year to find the appropriate shoes for such an event.

Question: Do you have to wear a tuxedo or will just a suit be ok?

For you, a straight jacket and a nice tie will suffice. 8)

I wouldn't go if it was black tie. I absolutely despise tuxedos. I have a suit that will go well with the occasion.

And even fantasticer (it's a word!) job to you. We can share clothes - except that some of yours are too small for me now... but if only you could lose 2 shoes sizes, because I like those shoes you wore to JTTC last year (you see!! I can re-rail a thread just as beautifully as I can derail one!)

Is that equal to half a stone? How much does an olsen weigh?

And that my jeans are about 4 inches too long on the inseam for you. And yours are like capri pants on me. :P
Those shoes were kinda tight... we can always pad them and you can wear 'em anyway. You'll just look like Ronald McDonald.
But if I remember right, once the festivities began, no one was staring at toes anyway! I might just wear flip-flops with a bandage dress.

Gunbot wrote:Is that equal to half a stone? How much does an olsen weigh?

I really have no clue. I just like assuming. I've lost 3.2 stone, however, if you care to do the math.
