If You Could Go Back And See ONE Journey Show..............
anytime from 1975-2009 which year or show would you see and why?
1980--i'd love to go see one of the departure era shows and see rollie, maybe one of those that made it to the captured release.i know there are shows from different cities on there.

Would definitely be the 1986 ROR Mountain Aire show. Second choice would be a Departure era show. I only ever saw Journey once and that was way back on the Escape tour in May '82 when they played here.

1980 would be the one for me also. I saw them in 81, 82 and twice in 83 before last year's show. I would have loved to have seen the show in Detroit that most of the audio came from on Captured.

Any Departure-era show. I only saw Journey once when Gregg was in the band.

Obviously, for me.. two of the singers I've never seen in concert.
Any concert with Steve Perry. Probably the Escape Tour.
and any concert with Steve Augeri. Probably the Arrival Tour.
Pretty self explanatory. Doesn't take me much for satisfaction.

If I could swap a show, it would be last year's with one from the Arrival tour. Just so I could hear some material off that album, seeing as they don't perform much of it live anymore.

Day On The Green #5: Ted Nugent, Blue Öyster Cult, Journey, AC/DC, Cheap Trick (September 2, 1978)
My first and best concert w/ Journey. This was one Rocking show.
From the new lineup, I would liked to have been at the Manila concert.

ANY show on the Departure tour.
Either that or I'd go back to the Houston show on 11/5/81 - the one that was not filmed. What I've heard of that performance was
phenomenal, specifically LTS and AWYWI. Lights/Stay Awhile were just as great as on 11/6. Plus they played Party's Over. It sounded like a
killer show.

Any Departure or Escape show. (I only saw ROR.)

No question, it would be ROR Mountainaire. I wanted to go to that show and couldn't find anyone to go with me. Imagine that. I wasn't into going alone back in those days. Today? Hell, I'd go in a heartbeat!
But, wouldn't we all.

March 2007 Hammersmith Apollo. Danny Vaughn Opening as the warm up act followed by Journey with Soto singing. A hell of a good show.
If not that, any date from the Frontiers tour.

Any show on the Arrival tour ... I didn't catch the SA bus until the ride was almost done.
and the Day on the Green show that we've seen the clips from ... seemed like SP was almost incandescent that day ...

Truedat, I put a few of the songs up on youtube from that show, that would be a great one to see live too. Such energy on ones like
Party's Over and
Dead or Alive. And damn girl, is there a color you "don't" look good in?!

Not a big fan of orange, but it looks good on ya.

The very first concert in my life. Journey's Departure Tour at the Rosemont Horizon in 1980. I don't even remember how old I was, but let's say I wasn't even a teen yet! BUT...Perry's voice FILLING that stadium is a sound I will never forget....thank you to my cousin who I think it was that took me!!

This would definitely have to be my choice as well for many reasons. I was at that show, but I would have LOVED to been in the first row.

Me too Houston 81 - front row, boy its going to be crowded with all of us there....2nd place ROR tour....first row as well!

This one's a toughie, but I would have to choose the first night of the ROR tour at Angels Camp. That would have been amazing, and also special knowing that it was to be the last tour of Perry fronted Journey (at least for 23 years and counting)

Would also love to go back and be able to catch at least one live Jeff-fronted Journey show.
