I snapped this photo at the Skybar Inside Burbank Airport. I was to shy to offer Senor Wombat a Drink but judging by his expression he may have been over the legal limit anyway.

Be happy Twitter doesn't have APPS there, I hate those damn things. Have fun, but it isn't what is is cracked up to be. Ashton Kutcher is always fun to tweet with, he has some amazing things he sends me.

For Andrew, he can use it as a tool to drive traffic to his site. Businesses can use it to search for nearly live complaints about products for damage control and customer service.

People can use it for stupid shit like celebrities seem to, to promote things they are excited about......and I even use it as an alternative or add-on to Google for searching for things. EVERYTHING is new...there are no outdated links. Next time you want to look up something do a search on twitter....you'll see.

Its cool because when I post about a topic....whether it be about our AHL hockey team, a Journey show, to complain about an HMO...people with similar interests find me and follow me. I do the same.

Its really not the relationship social network tool that facebook is.

Twitter is good for keeping up on things like bands you're interested in or news sites, and it's kind of a fun way to interact with friends, but for the most part it's become the weird out of control attention-seeking thing used by goofy teens.

You can "follow" other peoples' tweets, and the thing I like is that you can control which updates come to your phone. The rest you only see if you log in online. So I have a couple friends whose updates go to my phone, one or two artitsts I follow and the rest I just view online if I choose to log in and see what's going on. For example, Kevin Smith... I ued to follow his blog religiously, but I kind of got out of the habit, so I started to follow his updates on Twitter... but he's one of these people who sends tweets constantly, so I don't have his updates set to be texted to me, because my phone would be going off every 5 minutes.

The other cool thing you can do is turn off the updates between certain hours, so mine stop at 10pm and start again and 9 am.

If it weren't for the ability to turn them off and to select only certain peoples' messages to come to me via text message I wouldn't have ever bothered.

If it's something you're interested in, just go to the Twitter site and create the account and after that it's easy to get the idea. Even *I* figured it out, so it can't be that hard.

Andrew... good to see you on Twitter! :D

Yeah..during hockey season I have the twitter updates on the score, etc. for the hockey team sent to my phone as texts. I love that.

And yeah....You can also organize your home on twitter to be following all of your interests so when you're busy you still keep track of your stuff.

Um, yeah, whatever. I'm not a stalker and unlike you, I've never twittered anyone asking for information about a celeb. Reading a person's updates (that THEY choose to make public) is not the same as replying to someone who tweets about Steve Perry and asking that person if he's still there, did you talk to him, etc.

I read Kevin Smith's blog or his tweets because he makes them public and because he is entertaining. I've never replied to him and I've never sent messages to anyone asking about him, again, unlike you. And MY twitter profile isn't the one that's been circulated in PM here because of how creepy it is. So don't throw knives like that unless you want them thrown back.
