For those of you here in the states, it airs tonight (July 19th) at 9:00P. Great channel...especially in HD! :)

I just found this channel back in May, great channel indeed. I'll be watching for replays of this...

DVR'd it last night. Caught the tail end of Stone in Love, Separate Ways, DSB, and AWYWI. Not sure if they had any other songs before that.

A friend of mine (who does NOT read any of these boards) caught this on TV and had some very unsavory things to say about Arnel's performance and his diction...

My friends loved the performance. Going by your track record here and on other boards I can understand what kind of friends you have.

Not everyone thinks Arnel's the right choice....opinions are like assholes...

Before this thread devolves into the usual shitslinging, is it the full performance or is it selected songs?

Big deal that your friend's loved the performance. Their opinion carries no more wait than Strange's friend does. People are stupid.

I have friends out of state that thought he had diction problems early on and weren't sure about him for Journey so didn't go see them last year and called me to say they had friends over and watched the Download concert and said everyone was competely blown away by Arnel and wanted to go see them in concert now. And they thought the band sounded incredible.

Normally, a dog listens to his master; in this case, it looks like the dog is smarter than the master. Do you follow your dog when he tells you to sit or roll over?

Oh, Heavens no----that would be silly. I do, however, fetch him the newspaper. He’s a very intellectual dog. Image

Aaron, there was a time when the webcast went off the air, but they put the highlights back up. You can see Journey's whole set here:
http://www.downloadfestival.co.uk/webcast/

Look at the thumbnails to the right and scroll down to what you want. Journey is right after Def Leppard.

I can't believe they didn't (weren't able to) fix the sound mix (no piano in DSB!?!). Talk about an amatuer broadcast. And for all of the bands, the lead vocals are mixed too loud, and everything else turned down too low. Terrible sound mixing job, not just for Journey, but all the bands. Def Leppard sounded dead because of it.
