In fairness to Beck, he's screamed the refrain of "Get off my phone!" on his show several times.
It's a play on Bob Grant's famous radio brush-off to callers, and is now something of a Beck inside joke.
Each time, Beck seemingly outdoes Grant by screaming the catchphrase like a madman.
This has gotten alot of play in the media, but I really don't think Beck was losing it here.
That said, since the time of the election, his show has gone off the deep end into Alex Jones tinfoil hat territory.

Who is Al Frank?
Also, which Glenn Beck are you talking about?
The Beck circa 2001-2008 who compared Bush to Abe Lincoln, sold "I Love Haliburton" T-shirts, supported intervening in Terri Schiavo's hospital room, and threw an all day "gloatfest" upon Bush's re-election?
OR...
The newly re-invented Beck who models himself as a Thomas Paine populist, supports Ron Paul, and sees an ACORN conspiracy behind every street corner?
This guy is a fraud.

Sorry dude, I meant Al Franken. You know the guy who was a second stringer on Saturday Night Live. He wasn't funny and he will be a second stringer in the US Senate. The point is Liberalism/Socialism isn't a good thing for America.

Franken was motivated to run by the death of Paul Wellstone.
If he has even a fraction of Wellstone's courage, Franken will be a great public servant.
If being a Hollywood B-lister is somehow a disqualification for higher office, I guess Reagan should've stuck to changing Bonzo's diapers, right?

And Conservatism/Republicanism gave America just what exactly?
This isn't a rhetorical question.
And NO, the Emancipation Proclamation does not count.

This is good. B-Listers
Reagan and Franken
One stopped the cold war and one shared the set with a fake gorilla on Trading Places

Not a fan of his politics, but Franken was not a B-lister. He was a behind the scenes genius who really sculpted what SNL was every week. He only had one real skit on SNL that he acted in. His true measure was as a writer on that show. Very much like Tina Fey, he was behind the scenes. She lucked into an on screen role as did Franken with Stuart Smalley. Most of the Jack Handy stuff was his.

Yup.
Also won alot of emmys for his work.
Was gonna point this out, but gtplr gave me enough lies to debunk already.

I love how the verdict is already in on Franken’s political accomplishments no more than three weeks after being sworn in.
At this same stage in Reagan’s political life, he would’ve just recently made the switch from New Deal Democrat to Republican.
And NO, Reagan didn’t singlehandedly stop the cold war.
In fact, many hard-right hawk elements were against him talking to Gorbachev in the first place –(not the least of which, his proposals at Reykjavik of abolishing nukes and sharing technology).
They thought he sold out.
Especially confused why you would mention an on-screen primate reference in trying to make Franken look bad.
I guess you know even less about Ronald Reagan than you do the Cold War.

Come on no political discourse here, let's just laugh at Beck's outburst. I don't think Perry himself could hit the note he hits on the last GET OFF MY PHONE!

Okay let's talk about Glenn Beck. Since the election he has gone off the deep end. Scare tactics to scare up ratings. He can't believe all this black helicopter stuff.
My main problem with his show, radio and TV, is the fact that he acts like a five-year old while hosting a news editorial show. I don't take advice from a five-year old and I am not going to start now.
When he makes his points he makes faces at the end of sentences. It reminds me of the Fred Armisen Ricky Ricardo type character on SNL. Plus, the doll and baby voice he uses when he talk as the President is offensive. If you love the country you should respect the office.
To his credit though, the cookie dough stuff he did with Ann Coulter was hilarious. When the man is being sincere he has a powerful voice, but unfortunately this does not happen enough. Go listen to his commentary on the passing of Gordon B Hinkley for an example of what I am talking about.

Get off my Phone is known to GB Insiders as a "GOMP". TNC is right (and amazingly fair) when he says Glenn wasn't really having a melt down there. Glenn's show has been severely lacking in "funny" for quite a while now, so I'm one fan glad to hear remnants of the old Glenn Beck.

I love all the charts on his show. Keep shining the light ,Glenn. Remember schtick makes all these radio and T V personalities stars and bring their shows ratings and revenues. Then when the studio lights go off they become normal again, In Glenn's case I would venture somewhat normal. His book is @ 1 on the New York Times list. I bet that killed them.
