Steve Augeri at Burtnik Xmas Xtravaganza 2008

Not sure how this slipped by the MR radar...

Here’s footage of Steve Augeri at Glen Burtnik’s most recent Christmas concert.
Great to hear Augeri find his vocal footing again.
The last Burtnik Christmas special featured an Augeri noticeably still on the vocal mend.
As with the recent Firefest performance, however, whatever was bugging him in his upper register is gone.
Sounds great here.

Great to see. I'll always be a fan of Augeri's. Seeing him bounce back after being at rock bottom puts a smile to my face. Kudos to Steve A.

Actually, Miss "technicality", I didn't say "The entire world can see him..." I said "Anybody in the world can see him...". The difference in syntax being "anyone" denoting any singular entity originating from any terrestrial point has the invitation to attend. But your caustic schtick was not lost on me, my dear girl. :P

So hopefully Steve will play a few more original tunes this year or do you guys want him to cover some Journey material at the show?

As a huge Augeri fan, and at the risk of being "Loony" would it be TOO much to ask for the Steves of Journey to go on tour together? Roth and Hagar did it, and I say that FULL well acknowledging for the Perryheads that Augeri would be striclty the opener for perry but GD would that tour smoke....total and complete fantasy but Augeri would do it in Coney Island Cowboy second.

Can't see that happening...
However, more feasible (tho still not at all likely) would be giving SA a guest vocal on the next Journey cd.
Kinda like Deen's background vox on Generations or Joe William's return on the last TOTO disc.
Neal seems to be in a good headspace.
He's communicating with his fans, something he admittedly does not like, and even went so far as to reach out to someone on the MR Noticeboard who claimed he was a prick.
According to the person, Neal shot him an email and apologised for his past behavior.
Isn't part of the 12-step program apologizing to every person you've ever wronged?
In that case, let's put Fleischman, JSS, and SA on that next release.

You sure?
I know last year's Burtnik/SA clip made the rounds.
This seems to be pretty new.

What an idea.
Perry'd never "lower" himself to the idea but keeing the fantasy alive what if the Rev follow up had 1 lead voc each from perry, JSS, Augeri, not Flieschman, but Castronovo and 6-7 Arnel-led trax???????
