Steve mentioned this on the Tall Stories blog. Found a decent youtube video for anyone interested. Enjoy!

Steve was great as he was hamming it up. Hugo is a little bit too freaky though. I can see why people thought Evolution were actually Journey at the Bamboozle Festival.

Looks like they were having fun.
For those keeping count, this is the second Journey rival Augeri has dueted with.
You can't tell me no savvy concert promoter has thought of doing a package deal with the "voices of Journey."
Load Chalfant, JSS, Augeri, Jeremey, and Hugo in a Winnebago and get on the road.

While we’re sharing obscure footage, Neal’s gf has loaded footage of Neal jamming at Herbie’s birthday.

That's all Neal does is play. :)
And thank God Augeri is back. 8)

It was real creepy,i dont know which was worse, Hugo singin thin, or Augeri still sounding like his voice is blown,it was indeed freaky seeing them both on the same stage. If Augeri sang on the same stage as Jeremey, he would have had to walk away. I love Augeri, but he cant sing Journey anymore

Judging from the video, this is likely an impromptu event.
By most accounts, Augeri needed an excessive amount of prep time before hitting the stage with Journey (running, throat massages, steam showers etc).
There is other footage out there of him at recent charity events.
He sounded solid on the Journey stuff.
It's hard to sing up in that range right off the bat.

I still respect Steve a more than anyone in the band. This gig was retarded, and made Steve A look stupid,he should have blown thin ass Hugo out of the water, they are both about the same.it was good the see Steve A singin though,i still heard his improves that he did with Journey, which i always liked, and they were his,and he did nail his parts on the improves. It was good to hear him sing

That video was kick A. This is as rare as it gets. Seeing them both on stage is somethin to see! Had a great feeling to it. Augeri is damn cool. They look like brothers.

This was the post Rock Of Ages Party and Steve mentioned that he might jam with Hugo if there was enough champagne flowing.

It was a little strange...Hugo has Perry's actions down so well, I kept thinking.....Perry would not do this.....oh yeah it's Hugo!!

That performance sucked for me! I was a HUGE fan of Steve's up until the last year or so with Journey, and the Steve I hear right now (even just on that one song) sounds just like the Steve that left Journey. He has NO power left in his vocals, and the pitch of his voice sounds like fingernails down a chalk board to me! PLEASE stop singing Journey songs Steve. Stick to Tall Stories, or your own originals. :(

I think people are overanalyzing this.
Like Perry croaking out DSB at the White Sox game, SA was just having fun.

Agreed. This was a total impromtu thing from what I've read/heard, and I am sure SA did nothing to prepare for this. It was for fun, and a Journey tribute/cover band isn't going to ask Steve to come up and sing TS or unheard solo material, even if it fits his current vocal condition better. And, let's face it, most people don't know him for TS, he's known as a former Journey lead singer. I think we can all agree, like or dislike SA, after the vocal condition and the fact the guy is 50, we're not likely to hear to 2001-2003 era Augeri. Something is better than nothing.

Agree. The guy is sitting there drinking and eating, comes up for an impromptu singalong. Look at the videos from the JTTC show last year, he sounded fine.

Some one here put them up. it was a few weeks after the show I think. I remember the pictures came first then a video. Augeri had a guitar and was with Chalfant if I remember correctly. Their were people almost in tears around here because it seemed his voice was finally back.
Then again, maybe I'm mistaken.

i know no one gives a crap what i have to say but...

i was there tuesday night. the video does no justice to either singer, as the sound system in the china club sucks ass. i'm told that has been the case for many years too. augeri was not straining in the least, and he was definitely having fun trading off with hugo. hugo was low in the mix all night, but he and evolution put on a great show (as usual) and for me and a few others, he is the only "journey" we will be spending money on.

these charity events and one off's are for fun.....and they deliver 100% 8)

Not true. I give a crap what you have to say..................especially in your sig. That first quote is one of my favorites and still makes me chuckle every time I read it.

Hey, if Journey wants a Perry clone (which seems to be their agenda), Huge fits the bill.
