"An Evening with Steve Perry and Journey"

I do think someday, at least for a few shows, Steve Perry will return to the band. That said, I think the way to market will have to be "An Evening with Steve Perry and Journey". Since they are on their third Post-Perry vocalist, how else would anyone in the the general public know who the lead singer is?

I admire your optimism, but I seriously doubt it will ever happen. Who knows, maybe that almighty dollar will get them together. I just SERIOUSLY doubt it.

BTW, welcome aboard! I don't think I've seen you post before.

I can't see that one getting the ok by Neal. Sounds like 2 separate entities. Would probably be better worded......."An Evening with Journey featuring Steve Perry."

I'm very much a "never say never" kinda person, but I really don't think this is one reunion that will ever happen. :(

I always hear people saying, 'When Journey is ready to just end it, they should do a few shows with Steve Perry.' I don't know if they understand what that means. Journey still has 5 or 6 years left in them, depending on how Arnel's vocals hold up. Do people REALLY want to see that reunion when band members are well into their 60's?

sure. Why not? As long as Perry is there.

Heavy backing vocals and lowered keys. That's what would need to happen.

He was offered 1 million to do a show with the band in 2010 and he flat out said no
Perry wont ever sing live again

He doesn't. He just surfaced from the Styx board to try to stir trouble. He's done about all he can do on the Styx board, so he's spreading his wings.

$1-million isn't jack shit to persuade him. Led Zeppelin was offered $200-million for a reunion concert tour and Robert Plant turned it down. Plus, Journey is probably only paying Arnel $10k per week while on tour, which is a much cheaper route and they are still filling up the venues - so why would they want to pay Perry big money?

Again with the hypothetical Steve Perry Reunion Show topics? Seriously, again?

Michael Jackson is going to perform with Journey before Steve Perry ever does, so can we let it go already?

LOL - I can hear it now, "Billie Jean is not my girl. I'm in love with a blue jean girl."

I don't see Steve Perry or Lou Gramm ever returning to their respective bands. I think Mick might have held off on recording a new album in hopes of it happening but now the stone has been cast with the Wal-Mart deal and I think that like Journey, it's over as far as performing together again. If these bands were in the running for a HOF Nomination I could see Azoff or who ever their management is trying to put something together for monetary reasons but seeing how far down the induction list both bands are, I think it's not probable.

Peter Cetera is the only one I could see doing a reunion gig with his previous band.

Never gonna happen.
None of them need to.
Also i am pretty damned sure that Perry does not wanna be involved with those two prized pricks EVER again.

Rumors of his demise seem to have been greatly exaggerated. Just wishful thinking coming from the Styx forum.

I check this site everyday, but its just a question that popped in my head for some reason yesterday. I did so I think cause my wife was listening to "Too Late" and said wow Steve Perry really sounds good there. Trust me I'm up too speed on this band and have been more than a casual fan for almost 30 years. Sorry if my post seemed silly to you, but what wouldn't be a stupid question or comment to a guy who has over 4000 posts? Thanks for your warm welcome.

It's one of those R-rated, crazy, stalker, slasher movies where everyone gets killed at the end. Except SP of course because he's immortal.
