I seen this one on the news this morning. They showed a video but I couldn't find a copy on YouTube.

Utah boy goes for spin to avoid church

PLAIN CITY, Utah (AP) -- Police in Utah say a 7-year-old boy led officers on a car chase in an effort to avoid going to church.

Dispatchers received reports of a child driving recklessly on Sunday morning. Weber County Sheriff's Capt. Klint Anderson says one witness said the boy drove through a stop sign.

Anderson says two deputies caught up with the boy and tried unsuccessfully to stop the Dodge Intrepid in an area about 45 miles north of Salt Lake City. The car reached 40 mph before the boy stopped in a driveway and ran inside a home.

Anderson says when the boy's father later confronted him, the boy said he didn't want to go to church. The boy is too young to prosecute and no citations were issued, although police did urge the father to make his car keys more inaccessible to children.

I liked going to church as a kid!

Wouldn't have a tushie left if I'd done anything like that as a kiddie myself.

I always went to church as a child. I still do go. Of course, the media will say how 'cute' this was.

The only thing I learned inside a church was how to smoke pot. When I was in the boy Scouts we would clean the local church for two hours on Thursday nights. The first thing I found out was that it only took 20 minutes to clean, which meant the other hour+ could be spent doing other constructive things like lighting up bowls in the back pews.

Good for this kid if this was a Catholic church. He probably saved himself decades of nightmares at the hands of a priest. Anyone that goes to a church where the priests can't have pussy needs their fucking head examined. It's been a preying ground for child molestors for over a hundred fucking years.

I am aware of this story first hand. I am a 911 dispatcher for Weber County, UT and was working when calls came in about a very small person or possibly a child driving a vehicle and running stop signs. When the officer who was following the fleeing 7 year old told dispatch, the driver was actually a small child, we could not believe it! I think it's cool this story made national news but hope this kid learned a lesson and never does it again.

We have had plenty of calls of under 16 year old kids joyriding but never this young. One of the kids was actually one of my own. :x My 13 year old daughter stole her older sister's car 8 years ago and rear ended someone as she was dragging the blvd. I was off duty that night and my daughter was supposed to be in bed. When one of my fellow dispatchers called me and said my daughter had been involved in an accident, I asked her which daughter as it could have been one of two of my older daughters. When she told me it was Kimber, I was totally shocked and said "she is barely 13 years old!" I couldn't believe what she had done and when I went to the scene of the accident, (thankfully there were no injuries) I had to contain myself from kicking her butt right then and there. The officer was not going to cite her but I told him I wanted her referred to Juvenile Court so she would receive the punishment she deserved from the law and when she got home, she got her butt kicked. Also, I do not live in Plain City but I do live about 5 miles away and one of my other daughter's went to the high school that you see in the police video.

You are right, i think after all seem a funny story but is only because wasn't any serious hurt in this case, can you imagine if he crush the car or run over a person, wouldn't be so cool story...hope parents can be now more aware of this kind of situations and always keep an eye on their kids :?

Although this little shit, at 7 years old, drove recklessly in a car, I applaud him... only because of his reason. The kid is saving himself years and years of bullshit fairy tales.
