Autopsy: Cocaine Contributed to Billy Mays' Death

Autopsy report finds cocaine contributed to TV pitchman Billy Mays' death by heart disease

TAMPA, Fla. August 7, 2009 (AP)

An autopsy report says cocaine contributed to the death of TV pitchman Billy Mays.

The 50-year bearded TV personality died of a heart attack in his sleep. His wife found him unresponsive June 28 at their condo in Tampa, Fla.

A release from the Hillsborough County medical examiner's office Friday said Mays had last used cocaine days before his death.

The report said that although Mays died from heart disease, cocaine use was a contributing cause of death.

You are NOT right in the head GB!  I do have to admit that it was funny though. I still feel terrible for his family, regardless of the cause. I'm sure this is the last thing that they want put out there for him to be remembered by. :(

The marchin' band came down along Main Street
The soldier-blues fell in behind
I looked across and there I saw Billy
Waiting to go and join the line
And with her head upon his shoulder
His young and lovely fiancee
From where I stood, I saw she was cryin'
And through her tears I heard her say

"Billy, don't be a crackhead, don't be a tool with your life"
"Billy, don't be a crackhead, come back and make me your wife"
And as he started to go she said "Billy, keep your head lo-o-ow"
"Billy, don't be a crackhead, come back to me"

The soldier-blues were trapped on a hillside
The battle raging all around
The sergeant cried "We've got to hang on, boys"
"We got to hold this piece a'ground"
"I need a volunteer to ride up"
"And bring us back some extra men"
And Billy's hand was up in a moment
Forgettin' all the words she said

She said
"Billy, don't be a crackhead, don't be a tool with your life"
"Billy, don't be a crackhead, come back and make me your wife"
And as he started to go she said "Billy, keep your head lo-o-ow"
"Billy, don't be a crackhead, come back to me"

I heard his fiancee got a letter
That told how Billy died that day
The letter said that he was a crackhead
She should be proud he died that way
I heard she threw that letter away

That's a shame. I wonder if he knew he had heart trouble, and if he did why in the hell would he be doing coke anyway?

Eric Clapton listed a few reasons below:

If you wanna hang out youve got to take her out; cocaine.
If you wanna get down, down on the ground; cocaine.
She dont lie, she dont lie, she dont lie; cocaine.

If you got bad news, you wanna kick them blues; cocaine.
When your day is done and you wanna run; cocaine.
She dont lie, she dont lie, she dont lie; cocaine.

If your thing is gone and you wanna ride on; cocaine.
Dont forget this fact, you cant get it back; cocaine.
She dont lie, she dont lie, she dont lie; cocaine.

She dont lie, she dont lie, she dont lie; cocaine.

It's sad that his children and wife have to have that embarassment, at his age with coke in his system, but, at least, he didn't die with coke in his system and a stripper in his bed in some hotel. It could be worse.

I had a very good friend who died suddenly of a heart attack at age 50. He was also addicted to cocaine. What a waste! :( It's still hard to believe he's gone.

Yep it could be worse. In a sleazy motel room, cocaine in his system and a man in his bed.

That really sucks, and I'm sorry to hear it. I hope his family is taking it okay... it can't EVER be easy for a family to accept something like that. :( By the way... who is it in that new avatar?

Or found dead in the closet of a Bangkok hotel room Thursday with a cord wrapped around his neck and genitals like David Carradine.

Susan Boyle from Britian's Got Talent. She just got a major new makeover and just did a photoshoot for Harper's Bazaar magazine. Pretty amazing! :D
