So diamond these days means 5 million copies sold, as long as you include, and count double, a disc of re-releases, right?

Clue up, dude. It's not even really platinum.

The band would know and Jeremey will. He has to know for his royalties check. These numnuts keep saying two million copies Yet Jeremey reported it around 750k (worldwide?) and Soundscan was showing less than 700k (633k) for the U.S. as of July 2009. Seeing how Wal-Mart doen't even have it available for order anymore, how could it jump 1.3 million sales in two weeks or even 300k?

Wal-Mart isn't even making copies of it anymore. Arrival will go Diamond before Revelation. 8 years later and you can still buy it at Wal-Mart, unlike last year's release.

It's OK, Portland, it just shows that any mention of anything Journey at all, means that SP's name is ALWAYS thought of FIRST.

Oh for fuck's sake...it hasn't yet reached platinum yet. Any fucking douchebag band can slap together a second disc of retreads recorded in a band member's garage studio and 'count that' as a double disc. It's a fucking single CD release for all intents and purposes.

It's a cheap and dirty way to squeeze more recognition out of a release.....

It's not ANY less shameful than steroid cheating in baseball.

I checked our Walmart for almost 2 months and there was no Revelation on the shelves. Today there were 5 copies. Some more came from somewhere. Maybe demand picked up since the US leg of the tour began.

Walmart keeps 5,000 titles available, unlike major record stores which average 60,000. With four Wal-Mart exclusive CD/DVD packages coming out within the next 60 days, I wouldn't be surprised if a few thousand Revelation discs show up in the store as they clean their inventory.

Checking their online site makes it pretty clear about Revelation's status. No backorder option available.

No way it's double platinum. Another press was sent out for the summer tour, but it did not hit 1 million total packages. I am not sure but I don't think it's still over 800K.

Do you get quarterly payments/statements Jeremey, or get paid up front based on the number of discs run?

Jeremey...are those numbers just Walmart and journeymusic.com sales here in the U.S.?
What about the distributors in Europe, Asia and Japan? Are you including those unit numbers as well?
