My Sturgis Experience

I just got back from the Sturgis Bike Rally in South Dakota a few hours ago and I must say that it was an incredibly exciting week. The complete article is published on the site (or at this link: http://melodicrockconcerts.com/?p=1321)

I was at the Buffalo Chip Amphitheater for an internship during the entire week while Aerosmith, Billy Squier, Lita Ford, George Throrogood, Tesla, and a bunch of others played. The funny thing about most of the events is how I stumbled into them.

For example - I didn't know that there was even going to be a press conference for a certain charity ride until 20 minutes before it happened when a friend told me about it. An hour later I asked Steven Tyler a question in the press conference.

One minute I was standing outside in the sun a bit exhausted and wondering what to photograph, and the next minute I was stuck in a hail storm with Pat Simmons from the Doobie Brothers. My car lost its back windshield, but I didn't care! 8)

A wild week I tell you! I hope you enjoy the pictures that are now live...more to come.

That's kick ass. It's always good to read your reviews and hear the stories. I wish I had your job. You and Cyndy need to hook up.

Thanks Rick! I enjoy writing it all and of course I enjoy watching the bands and seeing them up close even more. I was one of two photography interns for the week, and fortunately we shared musical interests. I got to blast my Whitesnake live CD all week. 8)
