Flavor of the week seems to be commenting on how Arnel's voice is struggling. Sounds pretty
good to me. Relax everybody! 8)

For the prices that tickets are going at now, IF it's really your favorite band and you're alright with the downtuning, go ahead and go. After a few drinks it will sound fine, ....maybe.

I'm spending my dollar on Foreigner this year. I've liked Kelly Hansen since his Hurricane days and have no problem going out and supporting him. I was going to go to the Morongo show but since they added a date in Thousand Oaks the next night, that is closer not to mention I like the sound better anyway at the performing arts center. I'll miss the Def Leppard show but I'm sure Foreigner will be worth it.

I haven't seen the band since 81 when they, George Thorogood and Journey opened for the Stones so it's about time.

You'll not miss anything. My sister went to a DL concert recently and said they sound like shit compared to when she saw them a few years before.

I haven't seen Leppard since the 90's but with all the reverb and echoing they're doing lately, I'm not too concerned about missing them. I saw Cheaptrick last year and Poison is not my favorite band to begin with so no major loss.

I think he sounds muddied on OA. There is absolutely no connectivity with the crowd. He is just getting through it. No contrasting, no high and charp lows..all just...going through it.

You watch that and then watch Perry and it's no contest. Sounds tuned down to me and I can really tell. And what the living fuck is up with Ross' lettuce? His hair looks ridiculous. What's he got on their, at least a can of Aqua Net? Dude, lose that feathered faggoty shit already.

He reminds me a bit of the homeless drug addict character that David Thewlis plays in the film Naked.

Obviously, Steve Perry's fault for not providing all the band members with a life time subscription to "SmartMoney".

That's one of Jana's favorite songs. She is not going to be amused if the band is tinkering with that tune.

(I agree though, after nailing that song last year and earlier this year, he is close to buying the farm on it now)

You never do know. He bit the dust a few shows earlier on BGTY. As long as you go in knowing you'll probably get one or two songs that will be off, I'm sure the ticket will be worth it.
I think last year was Arnel's Zenith, his equivalent to the Frontiers tour. This year is more akin to the ROR tour, except instead of playing at a hyper tempo, everything has been sloooooooowed down.

Dude, do you know what a click track actually is? You wouldn't be able to tell if a song was played with a click track or if one was not. If it's used, they just pipe it in to the drummer's in-ear monitor so he can keep time. It's not like the rest of the band hears a constant clicking in their ear for the whole song. They go off what the drummer plays, who goes off what the click track tells him.

If the singer has trouble with the timing on the song, it's a problem with his phrasing. And I agree, Arnel draws out some phrases in certain inconvenient places that end up making him late on other parts and have to rush through certain places. But thinking that this issue is a click track problem isn't correct.
