Not that this is a new revelation for me, but good lord, he just came on Palladia and I just don't fucking get it. Not a lick of singing chops, hardly any hooks or even attempts at hooks (the guy fucking opens up playing the same acoustic riff thirty times in unison with the violin player - even my wild ass kitten fell asleep), and nothing great about the instrumentation.

Speaking of instrumentation, I think it's hilarious that these guys get classified as a "jam band." They couldn't carry the water of real jam bands like Allman Brothers, Phish, or even a more contemporary band like moe. They suck dick and their popularity is truly appalling.

While I never really got them, I believe this is truly a case of "I guess you had to be there"...

There's an audience for them, though it doesn't include me. They're album debuted at number one a few months back.

Yeah, good playing but not very good songs. I don't hate him anywhere near like I hate bands like DMB though. Just so awful.

I agree with the dmb hate. Never got them DM's voice is sooo annoying it's like nails on a blackboard to me. I'm not a John Mayer fan either, but the only redeeming quality he has is his love for SRV. So I guess he can't be all bad.

The guy can at least play some great guitar (mayer that is). I love his studio stuff but their guitars live are just pussified to an extreme. No crunch, no balls, no volume... boring. Sounds like I've got the album on low volume.

DMB is at the top of my list of bands that I just don't get. We are in good company...

Dave Matthews and his crew of repetitive jackoff musicians are just plain terrible. I'd rather have lit sticks of dynamite planted in my fucking ears than his warbling music.

Yeah, I'd much rather be a fan of a band that lies to its' fans, lip syncs and plays the same old songs every night, because they aren't good enough to play B sides or deep cuts. God, Journey is so good, aren't they?
